Hi , You might want to ask your rheumy about Kineret. It is the newest biologic and has been FDA approved for use in adults. Look up some info on the net. Gook luck to you and I hope you're feeling better soon.

Hello ,

and welcome to this group, you can all me Rusty Limbs, everybody does! I too developed Osteoporosis due to long term usage of Pred. I have had jra for 34 years, dx at age of 13. And like you and many others, I too have been on many different types of drugs.

I'm currently taking, Vioxx, Methotrexate and Naprasyn. The Vioxx really seems to help my feet, for without for a day, I can barely stand on them. I have indolent through out my entire body,(from the top of me head, to the tip of me toes) been dx with Ankylosising Spondylitis and doc tells me, " you got some Osteoarthritis in your neck as well. hmmm a real mixture of itisis, wouldn't you say! a regular bouquet. As it is with so many on the group.

But as for writing a novel, well you ain't seen nothing yet, I'm notorious for novels!!!

As I aspirer to be a writer of sorts, a bit of a poet at times too.

Actually just full of blarney. Ah , but doon't get me starrted, less I never come to a conclusion!

If you have Questions, well you've found the right place, many brains and lots of answers too.

And many hearts of love and ready to share it with all, and ready to make you laugh, during the ruff times.

til next time!

far thee well,

Rusty Limbs

P.S. but should anybody ask! you haven't seen me! (I'm hiding out from a group of women, who would have me torchered)!

Hi my name is , I am 21 years old and was dx with PolyarticularJRA when I was 7, I now say RA because I am not a child anymore.lol.I have a loving husband and a wonderful little girl who will be 3in October. I am in a really bad flare-up at this time, I had to go off Enbrel a little over a month ago due to nerve problems causing me to have symptoms of MS. On top of having RA I have Fibromyalgia and Osteoperosis. I have been on prednisone for 7 years and that is how I have the Osteoperosis.I have tried ALL medications, and if there is anyone out there that knows of something new, please let me know, at the moment I am back on prednisone and I am taking oxycodone as well, I do not like the fact that I am on a morphine based drug!!! I was on Remicade before the Enbrel and I stopped responding to it after 6 months. So I am open to new suggestions as well as alternatives. My GP suggested I try Traumeel and Zeel has anyone tried these, I know they are homeopathic. Sorry for writting a novel here.lol. :)

Hi ,

Welcome to the group, You'll love it here, the people are so funny! I am sorry to hear that you can no longer take enbrel; thats terrible. My baby was diagnosed with poyarticular JRA at 10 months old and shes 2 yrs now and she started enbrel at 19 months old. It does seem to be helping her a little with the way she feels and some with her activitiy. I don't know of any other drugs, but the oxycodone sure will mask the pain. Have you tried the kineret; I take it you have tried the methotrexate? I have fibromyalgia, myofacial pain syndrome, and spinal stenosis; I just found all this out. Anyway welcome to the gruop and sorry I couldn't help but I know there will be a lot of people on here to help you. Everyone is great! Welcome! Jona, mom of na 2 poly
