The one from the BIoKult people only goes ont he tap water. Marti has a full

system at home, its expensive, we are talkign £1,000 not £100's. If Marti

doesn;t post I'll mail her off list and see if she can help. YOur lad really

does

have thing about the water doesn;t he :) Is he still drinking all day or

has that phase waned now? I don;t know what to suggest. Hubbie turned off the

water to the taps in our cloakroom (loo still works fine) because Sam was

flooding and playing (quietly - sneeky like) so wash hands gets done with adult

help in a different room now. We must try turning it on again and see if he;

over

it now.........

Thanks mandi what will i do without you!

yep drinking water phase has gone now but i think he tries to drink epsomsalt

or soap from his water which worries me yes we too had flooding and before he

use to take bath in ice cold water had such a fear towards hot tap that wont

allow to open it or if water is warm before he goes in he would just come out

atleast its warm water now ....until something new happens

Hi Seema,

Hope you don't mind me butting in but I related to something you said.

When was about 4yrs old we had a huge problem with soap. He would take

it and hold it in his hands for ages. I am sure he was getting a fix from it

through his skin. (I know this would sound off the planet to anyone else but

us!) He wouldn't let anyone take it from him and if he could find two he

would hold one in each hand.

It stopped when we started using 'Pure' from Boots I think. Just wondered if

the bath thing is more an addiction to the soap etc than the water!

Not sure what you want to filter out, but on the mercury board a month ago or so

there was a big discussion on filtering tap water. One of the dad's, (who

really knows his stuff), had done research on water and filters and recommended

a filter to remove chorine. This is attached to the home, and therefore will

filter all baths and such. For us this was a big concern as we have had

episodes that prove has issues with chorine. For this filter, the cost

is around $160. I bought one, just need to get a plumber to install it, so

another expense. But here's the link if it helps anyone.

Mandi - water filter

Mandi you suggested water filter from biokult does it goes on main supply or

on kitchen tap if yes than will my son absorb heavy metals from bath at

present he takes his bath 7 times a day and is obsessed by it if you ask what

are

you doing he says swimming? also he fills the whole tub not bad to teach verbs

and adding epsom salt but it seems every time he wee or does toilet he has to

take bath it does calms him down but i think his heavy metal is coming from

there it would be good if wholewater could be filtered any idea to

burst my boy's latest bubble! as this is driving me mad!

Yes 6 months ago my son did that too it was washing his hands with

soap whole day but now it seems he is avoiding his ABA and its more sensory as

i only use manuka soap from aia and green peoples organic product but you

never know its difficult to separate behaviour from sensory by pure you mean

simple's product or boots own

thanks
