Guest guest
Hi everyone, i'm new to the group and just starting with the enzymes. We started with both the HN Zyme Prime and Peptizyde (HNI) and are giving our son (3 1/2 years, about 38 pounds) 1/6 of each capsule at mealtime and about the same at snack (it's hard to know how much he'll eat--meals could be more like snacks and snacks can suddenly become like meals!). i was going to stick with this dosage for a few days then increase gradually (every few days) until he gets to 1 cap of each per meal, 1/2 cap of each per snack. is it okay to start with both enzymes at the same time? this is day 2 and i don't see anything " reaction " or change for the negative or positive. i know it's very early, i just wanted to check in. thanks so much. mom to wyatt
Guest guest
You certainly can start both at the same time, and some people do fine with that. Most start with one at a time, though, just so it's clear what supplement is helping the most, which ones may provoke any negative behaviors, etc. Since you just started I would recommend you drop the Pep for now and concentrate on the Zyme Prime. Otherwise, it sounds like you're off to a good start. Yes, increase every few days if it's going well until you're at the dosage you stated. Then add in the Pep the same way. It may take longer for the results you want to see, but in the end it can save you time and even money if you know what is doing what. And oh yeah, hi and welcome! > > Hi everyone, i'm new to the group and just starting with the enzymes. > We started with both the HN Zyme Prime and Peptizyde (HNI) and are > giving our son (3 1/2 years, about 38 pounds) 1/6 of each capsule at > mealtime and about the same at snack (it's hard to know how much he'll > eat--meals could be more like snacks and snacks can suddenly become > like meals!). i was going to stick with this dosage for a few days > then increase gradually (every few days) until he gets to 1 cap of > each per meal, 1/2 cap of each per snack. is it okay to start with > both enzymes at the same time? this is day 2 and i don't see anything > " reaction " or change for the negative or positive. i know it's very > early, i just wanted to check in. > > thanks so much. > mom to wyatt
Guest guest
thank you " melmeighen " for your post and your welcome! i will drop the Pep for now and introduce it later as you suggested. my husband and i are taking the enzymes ourselves as well. do you think we ought to start with only one? or continue with both? or is this not the forum to ask about us? if not, that's okay. i understand. we are mainly concerned about our son and helping him in whatever way we can. > > > > Hi everyone, i'm new to the group and just starting with the > enzymes. > > We started with both the HN Zyme Prime and Peptizyde (HNI) and are > > giving our son (3 1/2 years, about 38 pounds) 1/6 of each capsule > at > > mealtime and about the same at snack (it's hard to know how much > he'll > > eat--meals could be more like snacks and snacks can suddenly become > > like meals!). i was going to stick with this dosage for a few days > > then increase gradually (every few days) until he gets to 1 cap of > > each per meal, 1/2 cap of each per snack. is it okay to start with > > both enzymes at the same time? this is day 2 and i don't see > anything > > " reaction " or change for the negative or positive. i know it's very > > early, i just wanted to check in. > > > > thanks so much. > > mom to wyatt
Guest guest
This is certainly the forum for everything you ever wanted to know and more about taking any kind of enzymes. And any kind of supplement. And sometimes even mattresses, behavioral issues, and how to keep bugs out of your house without chemicals. We accomplish a lot here, lol. You and your husband can certainly fast-track your enzyme supplementation if you're comfortable with that. In general I'm highly sensitive to vitamins, etc., to that wouldn't be a good option for me. But I think it might be easier to experiment on yourself because you know exactly how you feel. It's a little trickier with kids, especially non-verbal kids, so it pays to be a little more conservative with them. The only thing I guess I would point out is that so far, my son has not responded well or at all to any carb enzyme product like Zyme Prime. If I would have started both, I would have attributed his progress to both the enzymes, when only one, the AFP Pep, has really contributed to his health and development. (And boy, has it contributed!) So, I might have been paying for extra enzymes his body doesn't respond to yet. I guess the same could go for you and your husband, and you could end up paying more than you need to be.
