Guest guest
Hi everyone, Marcia Zimmerman (author of ADD, The Nutrition Solution) recommends the Attentive Child Chewables by Source Naturals as a supplement to multivitamins. I was planning on ordering it to boost up magnesium but thought I'd run it by you knowledgable folks to see if there's anything in it to be cautious about: Per serving (2 wafers): Magnesium (from magnesium aspartate) 120mg Zinc (as zinc picolinate) 2mg L-Aspartate (from magnesium aspartate) 310mg DMAE (as DMAE bitartate) 100mg Leci-PS Soybean Extract 50mg yielding 40% Phosphatidylserine Phosphatidylcholine 6mg Phosphatidylethanolamine 3.5mg Phosphatidylinositol 1.5mg DHA (docasahexaenoic acid [Neuromins]) 15mg Grape Seed Extract 15mg Other ingredients: crystalline fructose, xylitol, stearic acid, natural peach flavor, citric acid, natural orange flavor, magnesium stearate, collodial silicon dioxide, and natural chocolate and cherry flavors. What say you sage experts? TIA,
Guest guest
I used these for awhile with my asd son. Can't say as I noticed any change either way with them. Just a word of warning though - they're huge! I was expecting a little chewable tablet and was quite surprised to realize just how big they were, took a little convincing to get my son to try them. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, I picked these up yesterday, and you're right...they're huge! My ds doesn't mind, though. He thinks any chewable is like candy. :-) How long did you try it? Guest guest
I think it was about 6 months or so. He finally just refused to take them any more and because I hadn't seen any real benefit that I could put my finger on I just dropped them. Didn't see any change after stopping them. All kids are different though, so they might help your son. Good luck!
