Guest guest
Thanks Dana. I can't make a connection at all to bismuth. Anyone ever looked into this one and come up with something? Maybe I'll check our water just to see, as this would be an obvious source. This is what Dana's site has: Environmental sources: Used in solders, a variety of other alloys, metallurgical additives, medications, and in atomic research. In the early 1990's, research began on the evaluation of bismuth as a nontoxic replacement for lead in such uses as ceramic glazes, fishing sinkers, food processing equipment, free-machining brasses for plumbing applications, lubricating greases, and shot for waterfowl hunting. Sometimes yes. Sometimes hair will show high because the body is not absorbing and retaining the nutrient. Other times it is high because the body has too much. Depends on the mineral. Guest guest
>>I can't make a connection at all to bismuth. This was discussed quite a bit recently on [Mercury and Autism] . Seems someone said it was in makeup and certain medicines?? Maybe do a search of their archives and see what exactly was said. I have trouble getting onto board as my phone lines are very noisy. Guest guest
My son also has high bismuth and aluminum. Not found the source here either. He doesn't come in contact with most of those items that would cause those issues. Carla Re: High in aluminum & antimony/BISMUTH? Don't forget that aluminum is commonly found in over the counter stomach remedies--Malox and Mylanta. It's also in Carafate (a medicine that GI docs will prescribe a lot).
