Is he using any medication? The tongue description sounds like TD, a

potentially nasty side effect of certain medications like Risperdal.

Yes.

You can try adding the GSE again, see if that helps.

Maureen: I dont know if I will be that much help or not, but I know

that when we started enzymes (I didnt know that I was giving my son

enzymes...i thought it was an anti-fungal), that his scripting

increased to the point that it was scary. Perhaps it is the

increase in no fenol?

Can I ask.....you stated below that the scripting lesssened greatly

when you started enzymes. Are you using all 3 enzymes? And, is

your son like mine....scripts all the time? We are getting back on

the enzyme track now and plan to add Olive leaf extract to see if

his scripting is viral. I mentioned this on the board

before....you will see me smiling across the country when our

stops scripting. I am beginning to hate spongebob!

You may not want to go back on the GSE (some kids react negatively

to it). I would go back to what you know has been working well (Dr.

Houston's enzymes)....No-Fenol helps with Yeast issues (you might

want to try Olive Leaf Extract as well) our child used to take just

1/8 or 1/4 of the No-Fenol too, but did even better with one full

capsule....I would try 1/2 capsule first and then, in a couple of

days, if you don't see the results you want, jump up to 1 capsule

and see how things go. The best combination for our child has been

1 capsule each of AFP Peptizyde and No-Fenol with each meal and NO

artificial colors, preservatives, corn, or soy. Our daughter has

chemical/environmental sensitivities and will regress when exposed

to fragrances. So in order to prevent regression, we changed out

all of our everyday home products such as toothpaste, soap, and

shampoo to all natural or organic products (Aubrey Organics has

wonderful products...www.aubrey-organics.com or check out their

products on www.VitaminShoppe.com for better pricing).

Keep us updated...

Best wishes in figuring out what works best for your little one,

Gretchen

Maureen--I had similar issues with my daughter, and it was yeast as

you suspect. I did not want to give prescription yeast killers either,

because they had not worked in the past. I tried GSE, and my daughter

could not handle the phenols. GSE and other antifungals seem to work

well on certain strains of yeast, but if it isn't the right strain,

they don't do anything. I finally found something that clears my

daughter's yeast every time. It is an enzyme product called Candex,

and it acts by eating the cell wall of the yeast, so theoretically the

strain should not matter. I also use Culturelle with good success, but

I give 2-morning and 2-night for my 3 1/2 year daughter.--Tod
