Guest guest
My almost 3 yr old NT son just also tested positive for yeast. His behavior is drastically different than his 8 yr old sister's yeast issues but part of that is the fact that she was nailed with antibiotics often at an early age and he's never had one. He is mostly fine, but is all boy and does have some issues that lead me to believe he is definitely pre-dispositioned for a gut issue similar to mine and my daughter's. One of the things he does is he likes to take the palm of your hand and almost slap/hit it against the side of his head. Or sometimes it's not real hard but more of a cradling his head in your hand and him pushing against it. I just can't help but wonder if this might be some sigh of uncomfortableness or if this is some sort of relief? He doesn't act like he's in pain, but then again he's one of those kids that are less sensitive to pain than others. Does this action sound similar to what some of you see and any ideas as to what it might be from? He did do just a very little bit of head banging when he was much younger but that was only for a short time. I am also certain he had bacteria issues because he also has been constipated from day one. Lately that's been horrible so I'm back to having to try everything I did on his sister on him. I'm starting him on enzymes to see if that will help with the constipation along with a probiotic, but am feeling very guilty about giving him it in the chocolate magic stuff to get him to take it. How do you tell if their reaction is the yeast or the enzyme? I will find out shortly but am also sensing he has dairy sensitivities because I just determined I have very high scores for it as does my daughter. I've often suspected that switching him to raw milk was linked to his ability to finally start speaking a few months ago. If the tests come back real high I'll probably try to pull the dairy for a while until I get him ramped up on the enzymes. Thanks, Kari

Constipation ideas http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm For my kids, bacteria is runny bms. So I would suspect yeast. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, I know you've had good success with treating yeast. Did you actually see this decrease/go away when that got under control? He used to hit himself in the head over and over, but that stopped with enzymes and has never come back. Nell
