Guest guest
Not too bad. They certainly talk about the right things on the FAQ on their website. Here's the only thing that bothered me: They don't completely list their ingredients, making the following claim as to why: " method uses unique proprietary cleaning formulas, and for intellectual property reasons we do not give out the specific names of the chemicals we use. " Any reason for not telling you every ingredient raises a red flag with me. Maybe they'd tell you if you called them on the phone. They certainly seem to be trying to do the right thing with their products. Terri At 08:00 PM 9/20/2004, you wrote: >Has anyone looked at the new " Method " brand cleaning products at >Target? Guest guest
Becky, I haven't seen Method in our local Target (but I haven't really looked either). If you find out about any particular chemicals please post. I will try to call as well. Mrs. Meyer's is another brand of house cleaning products our natural food store carries. I haven't used them though. They sell in a variety of stores (like Cracker Barrel in some areas). There is a store locator on the home page so you can see if there are any stores in your area. http://www.mrsmeyers.com/ I really like the Aubrey's line too. I have a very hard time with the smells in many products and get headaches/dizzy. When I tried a bottle of one of those 'orange' cleaners, I squirted twice and then the boys and I made a bee-line out of the house because it smelled so strong. Maybe the idea is the product cleans by knocking the germs out cold with the smell. .
Guest guest
I've been using these for a while now, and slowly converting all my products over to the Method products. They are well priced compared to other " natural " cleaning products. From their website I found this: " BIODEGRADABLE At method, we want to rid the world of dirty. And by " dirty, " we don't mean just the brown stuff. We mean poisonous chemicals that pollute our water and air. So our formulas contain only biodegradable ingredients, derived from natural materials like soy, coconut, and palm oils. Mmm, coconut. " So maybe a soy problem? In fact I just washed some dishes this morning with their cucumber dishsoap and I can still smell it on my hands, yummy! Guest guest
Method has been slowly coming in for 1-2 months now. I've seen them in their ads every couple weeks. I just picked up the dishwasher packs as they say no phosphates, no chemical residues and no bleach but that's the only information they give on them. I will try e- mailing the company and see what response I get. Thank you for the link to Mrs. Meyer's. I found a Whole Foods in St. that I didn't know about! I will check out Mrs. Meyer's as it showed as being carried in two local stores. I just checked out Aubrey's store locator and that's being carried in a local store as well so I will have to check it out. Thank you so much!! And thank you to everyone else who responded as well!
