Hi again, one more question my son has several amalgam fillings in

his teeth (this was done before i knew what to be cautious of) I just

read on the faq sheet chelation is not to be done if there are

fillings present. does this hold true if you are chelating for Lead?

That was probably a dumb question- the chelator doesn't differentiate.

So no chelating until fillings are gone? Really? will someone validate

this for me. Sorry for my neurotic posts. Libby

Hi Libby

NO fillings, sorry. It's true: chelators don't discriminate. DMSA

(Captometer) LOVES mercury, and will pull it out of the fillings,

making your child much more toxic. All of the amalgams absoultuely

must be taken out, unfortunately. Others on this list know more about

the correct protocol for this than I do.

Your posts aren't at all neurotic. You have just saved you and your

child a great deal of heartache and ill health by posting these good

questions. You definitely have better instincts than your doctor.

This one is dangerous.

(By the way, Anita has given you good advice in the previous post. I

would certainly follow it.)

Take care, ask away :-)

Libby,

Have the fillings removed before using any chelator even if it's marketed as an

antioxidant or the manufacturer claims it can be used with fillings. Otherwise,

the chelators will take the mercury from the fillings and move it into the brain

and other vital organs making your child worse. You are right to double check

information.

,

I found that broadleaved and curly leaved dock (Rumex obtusifolius/ R.

crispus) is an excellent plant to detox. I'm extremely sensitve to

chemicals. A loading with a mercury compound was removed within a few days.I

had awful neuralgic pains. The mercury compound was cinnabar. It was in the

public water supply of the town where I used to live.

When I mentioned my experience to a herbalist in Cork she told met she uses

the roots to detox mercury in people with amalgam tooth fillings.

There is tincture of Rumex obtusifolius available in the US, the Weleda

company produces a tincture from Rumex crispus that I find very effective

when I can't use fresh roots. As Rumex also has a pronounced effect on the

female hormone pproduction (helps to get rid of hot flashes) it may also

help you to conceive - but do not use it during pregnancy.

Kind regards,

Dorothee

If you plan on having another child with your amalgams in place, then I would

suggest that you don't mess with it at all. Getting any work done will liberate

a lot of mercury, which will then be moving around your body.

Leave things, as well as possible, as is - and hope that you don't have to get

any work done while you are pregnant.

I know you don't want to hear this, but since you are clearly thinking it anyway

.... I might consider caution - you've already had one affected child.

I know that this is a difficult position to be in.

Dave.

My first and only kiddo has autism (he's four). He is recovering pretty

well, but we aren't there yet. I wanted to get all my silver fillings removed,

but my insurance is horrible (even though I paid more to have the better

insurance). Anyway I can't afford to get them all removed (because the expense

of all the biomedical and ABA for my son). I was going to get my two biggest

fillings removed (We want to have another child). I am getting older and don't

really want to wait.. Any suggestions. Grrr I feel stuck.

Thanks
