Guest guest
We started VS with 2 capsules a day, then increased 1 capsule per day until we were up to 9 capsules. We got the infamous yeast and a cold sore, which we had never had. At 9 capsules she got a pretty nasty flu bug, so we decreased to 1VS 3x a day. After the flu, we have increased it one capsule every other day and are up to 6 capsules. She now has two more cold sores. These cold sores appear to not respond to lysine, selenium and B, which we have increased. So, what now, do we just stick at 6VS until the cold sores pass? This seems like it is taking forever. Any advice appreciated. TIA,

This seems like it is taking forever. Any advice appreciated. Stick with it, or, bizarrely, increase it. My family had a stomach virus last week, 24 hours of throwing up followed by a day of not eating. I did not give the kids ANY supplements for those two days. Good news #1, the virus did NOT migrate directly into anyone's brain! Good news #2, when I started up supplements again, my son did not need several of them. Bad/good news #3, the ViraStop/OLE/Lauricidin combo started causing a TON of yeast again, even at reduced doses. I reduced even more, same nasty yeast, even with the maximum amount of GSE I was comfortable giving. I dropped the Lauricidin, yeast was manageable, kids regressed. I was VERY frustrated, so I decided that I was going to just live with the yeasty behaviors until this was DONE. So I increased the Lauricidin and the ViraStop. Two days of yeasty behavior, followed by major improvements and less yeast. Dana
