GSE (grapefruit seed extract)

Hi All! I am new here as of yesterday. I have an 8yo son who we believe has

AS.

I'm trying to take in all the information before I start with my round of

questions for you all.

Anyway, the reason for my email, is I am a soapmaker and I'm concerned with

the GSE issue. GSE is SUPPOSEDLY pure, and I know soapmakers who think they can

use it as an all natural preservative. However, in analysis, done by cosemetic

chemist, the GSE has been contaminated with parabens (methlyparaben, isoparben,

etc) and I'm not so sure these are healthy internally.

I don't even use a paraben based preservative system in my lotions as they are

known dermal irritants.

Just wanted to give you a heads up on it.

PS Grapefruits rot don't they?........so how could they preserve anything?
