VERY well said , and very important. I have 4 close girlfriends (one is

my neighboor) that REALLY watch my reactions, if I've taken my supplements, etc.

CRUCIAL. TD-DMPS has helped tremendously per Andy, but I know I am not well

enough many times to see the forest through the trees. Which is why I HAD to

chelate me enough first before attempting to chelate my 6 year old.

RE: B12. Folks can anyone lead me to info. on the difference between the B12's?

I can tolerate and do MUCH better when taking Methyl B12 sublingual drops.

However the two other types I've tried the Cyanocobalamin (1000 mcg) that was in

a recent IV made me go insane. INSANE!!!! " M-F'ing " everything very emotional

and volitile. NOT OK. I had nooticed the same thing when my Dr. Prescribed a B12

nasal spray (not methyl).

I could barely hold it together for 4 days after the IV. Couldn't sleep for two

days, and only with some trazadone : ( antidepressent helps with sleep did I get

4 hours at one time.

Someone had said there was a good article on methylation on the Pieffer site,

but I can't find it. The tech talk is way above me.

Does anyone think I should do any testing for this? I really haven't tested too

much as my money seemed better spent in my and my Dr. opinions getting supps and

chelating going. Chelating with TD-DMPS was the best thing I ever did.

OLE. Ok I AM TOTALLY SOLD ON OLE. I had the worst cold/flu and the green gunk

would NOT come up. I tried (stupidly) OTC Musenex some thing to get it up. It

didn't. I tool one OLE tablet and within 1 hour starting coughing it up.

Incredible. This is after DAYS and DAYS of trying to produce anything in a

cough. Glad to be on the mend.

Thank God for the list.

Alison. Peace.

----

A) You can technically do just about anything you want -- it's your body.

B) I think you were given the answer most folks on this list will tell you:

higher doses are not better and are merely more dangerous.

C) I have lived with chronic illness a looooong time. I find that it can be

extremely hard to figure out what is really helping and what is really

hurting. Taking so many medications, etc. -- it can be hard as hell to

parse out what is actually making me feel better or worse. Additionally,

feeling worse sometimes is part of the healing process (for example: drug

withdrawal feels gruesome but can be absolutely necessary). So if you

*think* you feel better with more chelators but are *unsure*, I would

suggest you be extremely skeptical of such conclusions and look for a more

objective measure of improvement than simply how you *feel*.

Some objective measures I use: am I actually sleeping better? Do I have

more energy? Am I able to function as well or better on fewer

drugs/herbs/whatever? Am I accomplishing more on average in a given day or

week? Am I sticking my feet in my mouth less often? Am I tripping,

stumbling, etc. less (or more)? Am I recovering from colds and the like

more rapidly than I used to? Is my mind clearer than it used to be (one

test of this is when I reread something I wrote a while back and find myself

mortified at what a space-cadet I sounded like)? Feedback from people who

know me very well and who are willing to be painfully honest with me is also

useful in assessing my actual progress instead of relying on my

fantasies/delusions/depressed rantings/etc. -- ie how I *feel* at any given

moment (which can be pretty rotten, even when I am clearly healing).

Of course, my medical problems aren't all directly related to

mercury-poisoning, so my objective measures may not work for others here who

have different issues.

HTH,

My #3 did not tolerate very much cyano B12 except with massively high

doses of folic acid. He cried constantly and banged his head on the

floor. He also drank enormous amounts of water, presumably to flush

the B12 from his body. He tolerates much higher doses of mB12, altho

still needs a " regular high " dose of folic acid with it.

Yep. OLE is wonderful stuff!

In short, adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin are the metabolically active

forms of B12 required by enzymes.

Cyanocobalamin and hydroxycobalamin, the forms of B12 in most supplements, need

to be detoxified (cyanide with GSH - maybe you are low GSH?), reduced,

transformed...... Many times you might take B12 supplements and have plenty

around, but your enzymes will not be able to use it because your body cannot

always transform it into the active forms.

Here's one page:

http://www.dadamo.com/napharm/store3/template2/b12.htm

You can find tons of information about B12. Just do a search on Google.

Me too :)
