Estrogen has a protective cell effect and females are faster excretors of mercury. There was a lab study done on cells in the presence of testosterone and mercury. I think I read about it in Evidence of Harm. But there did show a clear increase in cellular damage in the presence of testosterone. Quote

Guest guest Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 I read this and wondered if yeast could raise testosterone. If mercury causes yeast then it would raise testosterone. The following article said about yeast: " It can produce a false estrogen and make the body think it has enough, which signals the body to cease production. " http://healing.about.com/od/candida/a/candida_muran.htm So, if yeast (which is probably caused by mercury) is causing the body to cease production of estrogen, would the person not have higher testosterone? Just a thought from someone who knows absolutely nothing about hormones. Is there any validity to this? If so, can we lower testosterone by healing the gut and getting rid of yeast? Any opinions? ideas? Guest guest Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 You may want to read " The Yeast Connection " , it explains how all this works and what it does to the body. I am assuming you are referring to testosterone in women? As men do not have estrogen, at least not enought to mention. It explains that yeast mimicks estrogen and you make less, but this would leave your body with more progesterone, the other dominant female hormone. I have not read about interference of testosterone being a factor. One of the reasons men do not have as many problems with candida overgrow or when they do the symptoms are less is that they do not have enough estrogen to be interferred with. As a result men are less prone to yeast issues unless there is immune suppression. IN any case, you get rid of the metal, and the yeast problem, the hormones should regulate. Women with high progesterone from whatever cause usually have side effects such as PMS, moodswing, sore breast, etc. I don't know if this helps any. I do not think yeast can " raise " testosterone in that way as yeast makes its own estrogen. But anything that should not be in our bodies can do many things. And I would think estrogens it produces are not good for men or women. > > > > > > > > Andy what are your thoughts that testosterone makes mercury > > > poisoning > > > > worse and that it inhibits chelation? > > > > > > > Not Andy here but I have read quite a bit of information and some > > > studies that testosterone does indeed cause more problems with > > > mercury. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 No, I was referring to testosterone in males (the Geiers' theory about our kids) I did not know that males don't have estrogen. So my theory is unfounded and I was wise to have not become a scientist. I was just wondering if there was another way to excrete mercury better during chelation without resorting to Lupron and why these kids have high testosterone to begin with. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 I am going to jump in here with a likely very stupid and naieve question... I have often wondered about biological causes for someone being gay...could there be a relationship between mercury messing things up and causing high/low testosterone that could bring this on? I am sorry if this isn't appropriate, truly. I have met only a few people who are gay and it seems they feel it was something they were born with. I can understand that and am not judgemental. I just feel there has to be an biological reason. It seems more and more people are gay (could also just because it is more accepted??) and I wonder if this could because there is much more exposure to mercury if this is even a possibility. Again, so sorry if this is not an okay thing to ask. It has just been on my mind. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 I am glad you have brought this up as I have been wondering the same thing myself. There has been a lot in media concerning reports about gender-bending chemicals!! Last month a report came out about fish on the Californian coast which were hermaphrodite in nature and the researchers narrowed in on a sewage pipe which was pumping out chemicals contained in sunscreen products. I think I saved the article. I'll see if I can locate it. I'd like to see a sensible discussion about this....... Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Do More Boys Than Girls Have Autism? For reasons we do not yet understand, autism occurs about four times more frequently in boys than in girls. There is some indication that autism is more common in first-born males, but there have been no conclusive studies to date and there is just not enough research available to know for sure. Girls, when affected, are more likely to be more seriously disabled and to have lower IQs. http://207.21.243.44/feat/autism1.html Why are girls more likely to get retts? Very few boys have retts. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 The scientists were saying that estrogen plays a role in protecting cells from as severe of damage and that females are better excreters of metal. However, mercury still damages the cells with or without estrogen. They basically prooved that male and female handle metal differently. And that in the presence of testosterone more damage could occur on exposure. My blood tests did not show high estrogen levels. Nor do my symtpoms. But what's to say it couldn't? The thing is it can only protect it so much, say like the first exposure. But after too many exposures...nothing will protect the cells from damage. Mind you this study was in a lab using cells and thimerosal. Our bodies are variable. As to why some kids have high testosterone, that could be many things I am sure. And possibly mercury could be one of them. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Andy what are your thoughts that testosterone makes > mercury > > > > > > poisoning > > > > > > > worse and that it inhibits chelation? > > > > > > > > > > > > > Not Andy here but I have read quite a bit of information > and > > > some > > > > > > studies that testosterone does indeed cause more problems > with > > > > > > mercury. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 , That is an honest question. I know a lot of people whom are gay. I do not think mercury caused that. Ask anyone who is gay, and they will tell you that they have always been that way. If mercury messing with hormones were a cause, then some of us would be reconsidering our lifestyles right now. I have met gay men who were every bit as manly as any heterosexual man. They did not appear to have any " hormone " imbalance. Any studies done on this have found it be difference in the brain from birth. I have personally met and know some gay individuals that do not have mercury fillings and are too old to be victims of vaccine. There have always been gay people, it is referred to in ancient Egyptian culture and probably others cultures as well. Just that only until recently is it ok to live openly that way. The biological reason is that their brain for some reason is that way. It seems to be routed in fetal development early on in the game. Anyway please add on any information that might explain this better. I just know that the poeple I know will tell you flat out that nothing eviornmental caused them to be the way they are. Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 retts' maybe differences in brains. We all know that men and women s brains are different. The information I have come across on why more boys than girls is that females are better excretors of toxins due to a different hormone (estrogen) that males. My daughter should have autism with as much mercury as she received in her vaccines but for some reason my son got it instead and he got very little mercury from me in comparision. By the way he is not a first born. But hey, there are always exceptions. But, yes, they did show a link to testosterone interferring or slowing down natural detoxifaction. I guess, since females have the babies, our systems have a few extra safety features. Not that it makes me feel any better! - In , " Donna " <donna.arnold@...> wrote: > > > Do More Boys Than Girls Have Autism? > > For reasons we do not yet understand, autism occurs about four times > more frequently in boys than in girls. Guest guest Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I have never heard of any doctor or anyone else link mercury or testosterone or autism with homosexuality. lvchefmel <lvchefmel@...> wrote: I am going to jump in here with a likely very stupid and naieve question... Guest guest Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 The study that I saw was done by Boyd Hailey PhD. testosterone & mercury have a synergestic effect, brain neurons die faster when both are present, as opposed to exposure to mercury alone.
