You know I stand right behind you with that one, ~dz~ and I appreciate the support you provide to me as well as to our sisters and brothers here in the group. I have learned so much from you all . . . and I am here for you, for whatever purpose . . . there is strength in numbers and we all the numbers.

Always,

SJ, we lean on each other, I am helped along my way by

each one in the group, by their stories of weakness

and strength. We all have both to talk about. There

are times when I feel I can't take it anymore, but

somehow I make it through each day.

I am reminded of an entry I once saw that won an

engineering competition. It was a bridge of toothpicks

glued to one another and leaning against one another

in such a way, as there was an anvil hanging,

suspended by the structure. Now if a bunch of

toothpicks leaning against each other can bear the

weight of an anvil, think what we can do with each

others help! -dz-

Good Morning,

I just got home last night from our cruise. Boy, I am tired. I took good care of myself though. I took all my shots but skipped some pills. I may have gained one whole pound too! I sent healing thoughts to all of you from a beach in St. . Talk about paradise. Love to all and I'll tell more later. I'm kinda disoriented and still rocking.

Love, Vicky

Yeah, I have to take my exercise early and in smaller

doses. I rode my bike to church and back (about a 7

mile round trip). It wasn't too bad, but I was pretty

hot by the time I got home. -dz-

Sounds wonderful. I forgot my pills a couple of times

on vacation two. That was my worst week. I forgot them

twice. Maybe your healing thoughts helped. I slept

last night for the first time since Tuesday night.

Hi Dave,

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Also happy to hear the eye exam was

positive. I tend to get apprehensive before tests and dr appointments and

think the worst. The mind can really put you through anguish if you let it.

Judy tells me that Flax Oil and blue-green algae are natural tx for ADD.

Hi Everyone

Just got back from a couple days camping in the White Mts. of NH. We did a

5 mile hike up by a 200 foot water fall and over the top of a VERY high

ledge called enstein Ledge. I don't do well in high places and

couldn't go anywhere near the edge. In fact I got out of there as fast as I

could. The hike was VERY hard and it took all of our energy to get back. I

wouldn't have done it if I had known how hard it was going to be.

Surprisingly we both felt fairly good the next day. The camping was

relaxing and welcome change from work. It was hot and humid during the day

but cooIed off nicely during the night. I took a clue from you, Dave, and

took today off to unpack at my leisure.

Thanks for the plant names Diane but I can't find the names in my plant

books. Citronella is listed as onia canadensis. I'll keep looking.

All for now.

Dennis from NH

Hey Dennis, glad your trip was refreshing. Always good

to recharge the batteries. I was reading one author,

who says that the human eye wants larger horizons than

are available in the city. We need to get out in the

country a little more. I found that 5 miles was about

my limit also.

I am always apprehensive when I have tests that I have

to wait for results. I try to prepare for the worst,

then anything less than that is positive.

I have heard of that blue-green algae, but not the

flax oil. I'll keep that in mind. -dz-

Hi Dennis

Glad to hear that you had a good time. I'm trying to find the time to do

some camping with my wife. Maybe I'll wait until the temperature starts to

come down a bit. With the humidity we have here in South Texas it gets to be

a bit oppressive during the day with heat indices in about the 110 to 115

range.

what part of Texas are you from?? My husband is from Texas also. The shot was extremely hard on me last night. Just as bad as the very first day. I'm really tired today. You all have a great day.

Oh okay. My husband is from Beaumont. I also live in a small town but more in the country. I love it. I don't like the bugs outside and do say at times I want to live in town but honestly I love the country. You can be yourself..not as much noise.. and have lots of privacy. We are planning a move as soon as I can get some family problems resolved but it won't be in town. The shots have been kickin my behind this week. Saturday was the worst yet. Oh well it comes and it goes. I hope today finds you well and keep getting in touch.

I live in a small town about 45 miles SW of Corpus Christi called Kingsville. Appropriately named due to its' close proximity to the King Ranch. In fact I don't think there would have been a town if not for the ranch. I lived most of my life in Corpus after our family moved here from Oklahoma when I was 9 years old. About 5 years ago my wife and I decided that we were tired of living in the city and moved out here. I don't believe that I ever want to live in a large city anymore.

I hope that you are feeling better after your shot. I've been lucky. I seem to tolerate the treatments without too much trouble. Only occasionally do I have a bad time from it.

Green Bay is a fair sized town (just under 100,000),

but much smaller than I have lived in most of my life,

(Milwaukee, Denver, New Orleans) I like it because it

gives me some of the advantages of the city yet it has

a small town atmosphere, and I can get out into

t National Forest or Door County in a flash. I

would like to live in the country, but in my line of

work, I have an easier time finding employment in the

city. -dz-

Vicodin has codeine in it, which tends to be a bit

rough on the stomach. I have problems with it too.

Man, I don't know how you handle that heat. I had a hard time with it in SC

and I was younger then. I suppose you folks would have trouble with our

winter temperatures. Then again, I was in boot camp at Great Lakes and

don't know how those folks can take the cold there. It is the coldest place

I have ever been. The wind comes off those lakes and you freeze. Is it

milder on your side Dave? I think I may have been with & in

another life but I must have froze to death. :-)

I'm on the same side, just about 200 miles north. When

you get that wind off the lake, it goes right through

you. You wouldn't know it now though, the next 2 days

we are expecting 95 with heat indexes up to 110. We're

wishing for a lake breeze.

I've been having problems sleeping myself. My back has been causing me alot of pain the past 3 days. I too noticed things are quiet in here. Thought it was just me. Now I see it's not. Let's wake everyone up. Try a new verse to the song!!

Dave,

PLEASE be careful with the ambien. It has been proven to be addictive and causes a feeling of drunkenness. I was on that many years ago and it was disastrous.

What's up wth you girl? Are you behaving or at least trying to? ;o

My dr switched me to Ambien, I think it's supposed to

be more long lasting. Anyway, it's worth a try. My

joints have been kind of sore lately. Mostly I just

feel like I'm 87 years old instead of 47. By the way,

my birthday is a national holiday again. You know, as

bad as things have been for me, I have to admit that

there would be a lot of people who knew me in my drug

using days that wouldn't have expected me to live THIS

long, I'll just keep on cheating the devil. I'll have

to think on that new verse. -dz-

Vicky, that is one of my concerns. I don't have too

much longer to go, and they have me on the 5 miligram

(it comes in 5 and 10 mils). It's a trade off, I can't

function at work without sleep. I know I'm going to

have trouble sleeping when I'm done with all this, I

am careful to strictly follow the directions. I assume

they will wean me off of it. -dz-
