I use 1 percent milk, mix the NV in the blender, and it does great.  It foams

up a bit so you have to let it sit for a minute or two.

Ok,so my 2 and 3 year olds have been drinking NV for over a month now. Each

morning I mix it with almondmilk. Well, I ran out this morning so I used regular

whole cow's milk. Well, it wouldn't mix. What I usually do is scoop it in a

sippy, shake hard and it disolves great and makes a smooth " chocolate milk " .

With the regular milk it clumped and wouldn't blend. Hubby said because

almondmilk is more thin like water and whole milk has higher fat content.

Anyway, would it disolve in better if I used a blender?

Technically, NV is recommended for all milk alternatives but not cow's milk.

Ask me about NutriiVeda!

Barbara ~ can you tell me more about this? I didn't realize that ... does that

mean I *shouldn't* be using cow's milk to mix my son's NV?? That's what I've

been using all along .... I don't want to be doing something that will make the

NV less effective, if that's the case.

Dr. Deepak Chopra told me you can mix nutriiveda with any type of milk. Barbara

is correct however if you refer to the nutriiveda program guide

https://zriibucket.s3.amazonaws.com/v1/flash/2/docs/NutriiVeda.pdf which as you

know the product was launched more as a weight management/health all natural

product to support the metabolic system for adults. In the program guide they

recommend as a healthy alternative milk substitutes. That does not at all mean

you can't mix nutriiveda with milk, tomato sauce, pudding, ice cream, (or

whipped cream as Kate just suggested)juice, yogurt, oatmeal, water etc. You can

mix NV into anything and should see results in about a day to a few days (as you

did- I have your message below)

The only thing that may compromise it would be mixing it into something boiling

or cooking with it. And with nutriiveda unless otherwise medical necessary -you

don't need any other vitamins or supplements outside of fish oils which work

really well together (essential fats and essential amino acids) because other

than that we don't know what may compromise it as we only have theories

http://pursuitofresearch.org/science.html as to why it's " working.

And clearly you learned yourself that using cow's milk didn't slow down the

surges as the following was after 6 days on NV :) Any more updates?!!

Now for some GOOD news ... our NV update!

I was going to wait a little longer to post an update, but I'm just too excited

not to post about this!

Jack (just turned 3 yesterday) started NV last Saturday, so today was day 6.

Wow. It's truly been amazing! Not in a " wow, he just started talking all of a

sudden " kind of way, but there are just many subtle changes that, taken all

together, have really made a difference.

He's all of sudden starting to attempt more words, and just in the past 2 days

or so, many of the words he does say just sound a little better. He's still

making the same sorts of speech errors he always has -- like leaving off initial

consonants, or ending consonants, or switching syllables up, adding a schwa at

the end of his words -- but I've noticed that some of his sounds are starting to

sound more clear. And in particular, some of his vowel sounds are getting

better more of the time.

And I can't really explain this part -- but he just somehow seems " sharper " with

everything. He's always been a goofball and practical joker, but now he seems

to have taken his joking to a higher level. I don't really know how to explain

it.

Today, we were driving in the car and passed a school bus, and Jack yelled out

" BU " for " bus " (he always points out busses to us!). Well " bus " is actually one

of the few CVC words I know he can say. So, in a joking way I said to him

" Jack, did you forget your " s " ? " He laughed, and in true smart aleck fashion

replied " Bu-sssssssssssss " , and then laughed again.

We hadn't told anyone outside of our immediate family that Jack was getting

" special cocoa " (that's what we told our girls ;o)). But in the past few days,

my mom (who's been watching my kids for me a lot this week) keeps calling me in

amazement to report things that Jack's saying, or how clear his words are, etc.

My daughter finally spoke up and told my mom that Jack's getting special cocoa

to help him talk. :o)

Regarding my update, after the first day, I was having a hard time committing to

taking it as a meal replacement (too many special meals this week!), so I put it

on hold until I can really do it. Besides, I wanted to make sure I've got

enough of it on hand for Jack before my next shipment arrives!
