A Small Voice...

> For my sweet Cody

>

>

> Can't you hear me?

> I'll say it louder...

> For what I'm missing

> I shall be stronger.

>

> A voice so sweet & tender

> no one can understand

> how hard it makes it

> to be all that I can

>

> living day to day

> in what seems a foreign land

> talking to so many

> who just don't understand

>

>

> try and listen with your heart

> hear & see who I really am

> a child robbed of a chance

> but not afraid to make a stand

>

> No different from any other

> just trying to be heard

> people point & stare

> I wish they'd only learn

>

> look past my voice

> reach into your heart

> for everyone that reaches out

> shall take an active part

>

> so many voices

> left unheard

> the struggles it takes

> to just say a word

>

> I want to tell you stories

> I want to sing a song

> everyone has waited

> far too long

>

> hear me, listen...

> I'm the same as any other

> But for what I'm missing

> does make me stronger.

>Mother of three. the voice of one special little guy.
