Guest guest Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 I've been following the other chain re: zinc and copper with interest and would like to present our beginning experience with zinc picolinate. Pfeiffer has recommended the zinc p., 30 mgs, in addition to the 25 mgs. of Zinc Kreb's Chelates my ds gets through BrainChild. We started with about 10 mgs yesterday morning (in case of hyperactivity) with no problems. This morning I threw caution to the wind (very unlike me) and gave him probably 20-25 mgs. No hyperactivity, but such sadness! He has cried three times today for no apparent reason. That really really sad cry, where the mouth turns down and quivers, the eyes fill slowly, then the sobs. He won't leave me for more than five minutes. (I'm typing fast.) Could this be the zinc p? Has anyone else seen this reaction? Is this adjustment or intolerance? I'm thinking about giving it at night instead so he'll possibly sleep through the sadness, but if it's intolerance I don't want to push it... TIA, Quote
