For myself I discovered that I had to include vitamin D. Seems to need

this to get the minerals to work together too. I read that people with chronic

fatigue and MS demands are higher for D in many cases. I was taking

the two minerals and all they did was make me tired. Until I read about

the vitamin D connection. Now I feel energy. Take D at the same time

as your minerals. I have been using an A & D complex.

Calcium is not well absorbed without magnesium. I would recommend

you not give calcium by itself, add some magnesium with it. Also,

magnesium did help one of my kids with teeth grinding, so I would

definitely recommend you try it.

Carnosine elevated my kids' copper levels, so you need to be sure to

give zinc if you are giving carnosine.

Just fyi, NightCal is formulated with just a touch of magnesium for this

specific purpose, to help the Calcium absorb. Calcium and magnesium do a

complicated dance with each other, blocking each other but also being

necessary for each other. We think that specifically to get *calcium* to

absorb, giving something like NightCal (very easily absorbed calcium

combined with a small amount of mag to help it in) on an empty stomach with

no other supplements at the same time is the best approach.

If the NightCal doesn't resolve the teeth grinding, maybe try more of

just magnesium. It might be the magnesium that helps with the

grinding (magnesium helps with muscle relaxation).

If he is not gaining weight as you like, you might try increasing the

enzyme dose a bit. How long has he been taking enzymes total? Of the

carbs he eats, how much is whole grains (as opposed to refined

processed bread-type carbs)?
