Guest guest
Our two special need kids grind their teeth only when they are sleeping. Our middle daughter will also gridn when she falls. What can I do. We alreadyhad to get 's front tooth pulled. She grind so much she damaged the nerve to the tooth. It was about $ 300:00 to get the tooth remove, ouch. Guest guest
Hi Migdalia, I don't really know if I can help. I tend to think that grinding teeth at night is a rather normal thing. For example, I have a friend who has always been grinding her teeth at night since she was small. So it may have absoloutely nothing to do with special needs ! (Is this good news I ask myself...) For my own imput, we had the most terrible problems with our son who was teeth grinding all the time both day and night. I had already tried magnesium and various other things recommended but nothing worked. We lived with this for nearly two years and it drove us mad!! Then one day I happened to mention it to Lang from Brainchild and he said that it was a definate calcium deficiency. So we bought his product Nightcal and with his help we have found that needs lots more than most children for some reason (mercury maybe?). Within a few weeks the grinding stopped never to return!
