Guest guest
We used Ritalin in the beginning and it did help but there were side effects, 1. they only give enough to cover school hours and when it wears off you get at least an hour of 'redress time' where they are even more hyper than normal. 2.it mucked up our boys eating and one got dangerously thin. 3.they found it harder to get to sleep at night but were so deeply asleep in the morning you couldn't wake them up. Once they were off they told us they didn't feel like themselves when they were on it. we really didn't know much about it at first but were desperate for something and had only heard of the cabbage diet which sounded horrendous; but weren't happy with it and found they didn't regress and got better when we put them on the gf/cf diet, from there we found enzymes which has enabled them to go back onto a normal diet (altho there are some things we will never have again now we know more about them) and make even more improvements. We also found increasing their supplements of omega oils, zinc, magnesium and b vits made a difference too. Good luck Julea ) All things are possible until proved impossible - and even the impossible may only be so, as of now. http://www.Emagforall.netfirms.com
Guest guest
My son is 3.5 years old and we use provigil with great success. We started it and kept him on it for 4 months then we thought it was interfering with his sleep cycle so we stopped for a month. During that month not only did his sleep not improve he started to regress. When we added it back in he took off. He is more aware of everything around him and can work at a table for 50 mins or longer. It is amazing. HTH, Dena
Guest guest
it seems to be a dopamine reuptake inhibitor which would imply that no fenol may well be effective. > My son is 3.5 years old and we use provigil with great success.
