you should read what you are writing.

the only case study is he is ignorant and you are paying to educate

him?

most tests are a waste of time as far as i can see.

actually do real medicine by observation and not out of date text

Yes, I see your point. I know so little, but I do know my heart

races with anger over the lack of understanding here by the medical

community. Almost like a nightmare I can't believe something this

big is out there and it is not gaining much momentum fast enough. So

how will things ever change? Shouldn't part of the master plan be to

be able to bridge this level of " ignorance " if there are those out

there willing to take it on? This guy is saying he got into medicine

for the challenge to be part of the evolution in the area of

medicine. It is an absolute fact that at some point in time

ignorance or not eventually " science " WILL follow this theory and it

will come out. The way I see it, if this doctor is at least open to

consider things I want to do what I can to present him with what is

the most scientifically available data out there. Or if not in his

way of thinking, just something to give him that does a good job at

communicating that is going on.

When I went into his office 3 months ago and told him I was concerned

about a yeast overgrowth problem he gave me a standard urine test to

look for yeast. When I asked him if he saw a problem with my

daughter's chronic gas issue he expressed " everyone has gas " . At

first I was consumed with anger over his ignorance. But now because

he is open, I want to take advantage to educate him. Long way of

answering your question, yes, I do want to help educate him. And

maybe, just maybe, the next time an autistic child walks through his

doors he might have a different take on things.

you don't understand how bad 'science' has got.

science in medicine means drug company funded studies

in fact drug companies have been threating litigation on autistic gut

studies becuse of thier exposure to vaccine damage liability

you can't ride two horses at once and would be better to focus on

your child.

scd, canadex, no fenol , enzymes, oreganol, minerals, a hair test,

understanding scd.................... vitmain a , oral/skin vitmain

d...........

why not discuss your child in more detail on this board and look at

what you can do in the way of supplements to help?

I know a lot of my passion is actually driven out of naivety myself.

Just have to follow my heart here though. I have quickly found not

to tell those who have no desire to here to listen, including family

and friends. (Grandfather's angle was to " limit her TV get a good

pediatrician! " Silly me if only I didn't think of that? Christmas

dinner is going to be fun...)

But guess because the doctor was actively listening and inquiring, I

am driven, or at least for the moment. This is not in replacement of

focus on my daughters health, but for me part of the program.

Thanks again for everyone's input.

Kari,

In my opinion, and it is just my opinion, your doctor should get

off his butt and do some research of his

own.

I think that all pediatricians are seeing an increase in autism

(mercury poisoning) and you think this would open their eyes that

something is going on. If I were a doctor and seeing more and more

kids with autism, I would start looking for answers. Seems to me

that not too many are doing

that.

Kind of makes you wonder if the vaccine companies are paying them

to shut up and act

stupid.

This may sound harsh, but no where near as harsh as what we

families are going through emotionally, physically and

financially.

Sincerely,

Kari,

Follow your heart, but don't let it be broken! Thanks to people

like you the medical community - or those willing to listen and

HEAR - ARE being educated and it DOES make a difference to the next

child who walks in the door. Our health nurse has offered

information regarding a number of things that are

still " alternative " and was willing to venture recommendations to

doctors who might work with these things. Without other parents

willing to tell her, I would never have gotten the information I

needed and maybe would never have found this group.

Given that drug companies do so much of medical/doctors' post-

qualification/ professional training, we need other sources of

information to get to them. Reliable sources with experience and

the foundation of groups like this!

Kari, try DeFelice's book or website (www.enzymestuff.com) for

references re: scientific studies and case studies.

All the best and give regular updates!

Hello,

I don't post much but have to put my 2cents in this one.

I am no doctor but am a registered dietitian. Yes it is very sad that

most doctors do not have an open mind. They just can't see outside

the box. They know what the learned 10 - 30 years ago in med school

and since there is no direct proof they do not recoginize this

concept and consider it alternative medicine. Most doctors just

practice mainstreem medicine. I have fellow dietitians that don't

believe that GFCF diet, enzymes, or supplements help my son but I know

what I see with my own eyes.
