Guest guest
We've started our 4 yo on AFP...he's been g/c " minimal " (I say this because I'm never completely sure I'm getting it all out of his diet). He's been on it 2 days, and he's gone into hyper-happy mode. He's in a GREAT mood, I've noticed improved eye-contact, and it seems like we're getting a few more words/imitation today than I've seen (though that may be wishful thinking on my part!) But, on the down side, he's completely hyper, and doing his stiff- limbed, almost-shaking, wide-eyed routine. (I'm not sure how to describe it, I'm hoping you all know what I mean. It's kind of like he gets so excited/overwhelmed he tenses up and sort of vibrates.) Did I read somewhere that this sort of hyperness can happen, sort of the kids are getting overwhelmed with the flood of sensory input once the enzymes help them digest? I've read so much lately that it's kind of blurring together, and I want to make sure we're on the right track. I eventually want to introduce some of the other enzymes, but want to wait and see how this one goes. Anyone else have this experience? Thanks!
