well if i have to much zinc i get tendon problems in the arms. sort

like rsi.

zinc best taken intermittently i think. i am not sure about zinc

methionine having taken it once and spent an uncomfortable

night..........it surely is super well absorbed but not sure wether

there are other problems with the form, will try it again i guess.

you really have to get to grips with the doctor not being up to speed

on something as suble as mineral supplementation and having to

research and try things yourself.

so bascially you are now high zinc and have to look at what was

always needed.................the two seleniums......... diluted

aqueous or lugols iodine............ manganese, gtf chromium, boron,

molybdenum, magnesium chelate.........some of these are quite

sporadic...............

also more broadly, something like natures way dry a and d........

no flouride............

Thank you, I will play with the amounts of the other minerals, and

add in the other selenium.

I give zinc in between meals to help with absorption (and because I don't want

it to interfere with digestive enzyme supplements).

Zinc. Makes sense because he constantly grinds his teeth and has stimmy

behavior. Does anyone have any suggestion to increase Zinc absorption or a

particular kind/brand of zinc that would have increased absorption potential?

At my house, teeth grinding was caused by many more things than just zinc

deficiency, including deficiency of other minerals, and yeast overgrowth.

Not sure if this will help in your case, but I just learned that you must take

calcium and zinc at least 1.5-2 hours apart from each other, b/c the calcium

prevents zinc absorption when taken together. This morning was our first

morning of separating the two.

> I was at the DAN! Conference in Atlanta and one of the speakers (Dr.

O'Hara) said to take zinc alone and at night.

If you want your kid to be up all night and maybe puke, yes, that is a great

idea.

Take it with meals. If it is not well absorbed, use more, and take it with more

meals.

This is unnecessary.

The body is used to getting its nutrients all mixed together in food. It

separates them fine.

The problem is you are using an insignificant amount.

Use his weight + 20 mg as the daily amount, rounded UP, divided between two or

three meals.
