, I would highly recommend De Felice book called enzymes for

autism and other neurological problems see -

www.enzymestuff.com

This has info on diet and enzymes, if your son does not eat CFGF diet would

be very hard, and its hard enough to start with. My son is off that diet now

with way more improvemnts than we had on it - we use HNI enzymes

www.houstonni.com. Some people still need to remove the odd problem food but

that vetas removing whole food groups any day :)

Good luck

are lots of things you can try for yeast OTC in UK, GrapeFRUIT Seed Extract,

Olice Leaf Extract, Oil of Oregano, Probiotics, Enzymes ...................OH

so many to choose from LOL We saw die off from just removing sugar, actually

that was worst die off we ever had, but its a good place to

start..................

are you able to > get in home programs for your child?

>>>Sam is in ASD specific school, but our local LEA does fund home

programmes, most have to fight, some are not successful :(

another efirned in UK whose son was very poor eater. She gave him a few

what did you start with first?

Enzymeaid and Spectrazyme for 5 day planned period off diet for a holiday. I

wasn;t scared of enzymes, when HNI released I order 6 bottle of each and pray

they work. They did, and some. We remain very low/no sugar and we still avoid

Aspartame and MSG.

there :( She gives good overview of some therapies but all backed by saying

Dr is required, If you in UK, you know these beings do not exist here unless

you won the lottery and then there is no choice :( with time and patience

you can learn heaps to help your child yourself. You picked a great place to

start!

Hi ,

My almost 8 year old had runny bm's for 5 years, over the past month

they have finally disappeared. The diet didn't help, we saw a GI

doctor and she found no problems, what helped was ending the diet and

using Houston's Enzymes. So you may actually help 2 problems by

trying the enzymes. Also, my younger son did not like to eat and now

he inhales a variety of foods.

Just my .02.

Actually, at least in her second edition of CSB, she does devote a few

positive pages to enzymes and makes recommendations for things that parents

can try without the help of a doctor. Still, the enzyme discussion is not as

thorough as 's and enzymes are a great therapy to start with because

they impact so much else. So I'd start with 's book, then move on to

CSB.

Hi

> Hi I needed that info, what kind of enzymes to

> get him to eat, how much?

My boys take 1 Peptizyde and 1 hn-zyme prime with each meal and 1

peptizyde with any snack containing gluten or casein.

where did you start?

I started with peptizyde since my boys were already gf/cf/sf

he is painfully skinny? The younger one used to be, but not

anymore. The older one was overweight.

I see his behaviors like acting out when on the diet but I see

language improvement?

I saw tantruming reduced more on the enzymes than on the diet. And

their language has increased since being on the enzymes, they rarely

need their PECS books anymore. They are both happier now than they

were on the diet. My older son even tries to play jokes on people

now.

you think I can just do the enzymes instead?

I think it is worth trying. The diet worked for us, but enzymes have

worked far better.

We get ours at www.houstonni.com

have a daughter who didnt gain ANY weight between age 5 and 9.

she remained at 45 lbs.

the thing that helped her, was starting Houstons enzymes, with which

she has gained 5 lbs (first gained it, and lost some of it over the

summer, but gained it back again and is now keeping it).

She also was painfully skinny, falling off the chart once she hit 9

yrs old. her height continued to climb-slowly.

we do the enzymes instead of the diet now, although we still do not

drink milk very much.... except on occasion when the kids want " junk

celeral-honey comb lol) and milk as a treat.

many people have gone off the GFCF diet when on peptizyde (houstons

enzyme) and find they get even more improvements then they did on the

GFCF diet.
