I knwo your struggle. I have a firend whose som only eats waffles and they are stuggling to get him on SCD because GFCFSF has not helped at all. I wish you luck. It's not that there's anything especially terrible about gluten and casein, it's that usually that's what people eat a lot of, so if the gut becomes leaky, that's what the body sensitizes to. If you go gfcf but have no variety then there's a good chance eventually the body won't tolerate the gfcf food either, which is what a rotation diet tries to avoid. Enzymes do promote gut healing and can allow for a wider variety of foods to be eaten, so IMO that's the only way out of the leaky gut nightmare. Guest guest
Have you thought about e-mailing Devin Houston about the enzymes and eczema? I just began to try BrainChild's Intestimend (sample size) for my child who has gut issues. He is also on AFP Peptyzide and the No Fenol too. Can you get any kind of Omega 3 fatty acids in? This should help with eczema as well. The No Fenol helps to prevent yeast too. Just some thought to e-mail Devin as he is really great with responding. Guest guest
Oh, that is such wonderful news ! I have a friend with IBS and I suggested Iodine to her and she just looked at me like I was nuts... I will mention it to her again. I wonder if it heals ulcers too? Anyone? JOT Now, after about 2 months of taking Iodoral, I am regular for the first time in my life.
Guest guest
Please don't confuse balanced hormones with a healed gut. This is what I have learned. I too became a lot less constipated after being on Iodoral, thus increasing thyroid hormone. As I also tweaked my Naturethroid I found that too much gave me diarrea & not enough gave me constipation. Thus I was enlightened to the fact that hormone balance effects bowels/metabolism. Meanwhile, now after almost two years on iodoral & I have near normal thyroid hormone levels, my gut is still not healed & I know that is what I need to tackle next. Meaning, I still have bloating, belly fat & parasites & all the probiotics in the world won't balance the gut until one gets rid of parasites. So, needless to say, I have yet to heal the gut, not to mention I have leaky gut syndrome & thus vitamin deficiency's. So I caution you not to confuse regular bowel movements with a healed gut. Guest guest
HI ,That's great! The elimination of symptoms is wonderful. But consider this: your symptoms are gone, but the residual damage brought on from the foods or toxins might still be there and would benefit from the use of the iodine protocol.Think of it this way: someone accidentally parks their car on your foot. Now, the car has considerable weight, so naturally it hurts. The driver of the car sees you, realizes the problem, and removes the car from your foot. So, you are healed now, right? Does your foot still hurt? The car is no longer on your foot, so you should be better, right? So, even though the source of your problem has been removed and you feel better, the iodine protocol can help to heal the residual damage to your gut.Regards, BastidaFrom: W <coralskies@...>Subject: Re: Gut healingiodine Date: Tuesday, April 13, 2010, 5:29 AM Once I eliminated gluten...and actually all grains now that I think back...all of my IBS-D symptoms and many others like 24/7 full-body itching disappeared and haven't returned since. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks, I'm just waiting for my Iodoral to arrive. I'm also doing a specific diet for detox and it's quite powerful...to the point that sometimes I have to back off for a bit to ease the symptoms. I think my goiter growing could have something to do with my drinking Brita filtered tap water, eating more goitrogens and not eating as much fish (got to learn to cook that better at home than I do). The author of the program believes that it takes one month for every year one has been ill to fully heal. She says some have been sick since birth as I was. So I've got about five years on her program to go before I'm technically 100%. She also believes our bodies re-trace back to health meaning that we can experience less-intense episodes similar to illnesses and injuries we've experienced during our lifetimes. It's quite interesting especially when you experience it for yourself. So I've got a LONG way to go! > > HI , > That's great! The elimination of symptoms is wonderful. Guest guest
Look at this!http://www.life-enhancement.com/article_template.asp?id=691H. pylori Infection Is Global To say that infection with H. pylori (short for Helicobacter pylori) is common is an understatement. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta estimates that two-thirds of the world's population is infected with this ubiquitous organism - that's about 4 billion (!) people.2Fortunately for most of those people, H. pylori causes them little or no problem. Many of them, however, are not so lucky and suffer a range of digestive symptoms and disorders that may be linked to their infection, such as indigestion, heartburn, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), peptic ulcers,* and stomach cancer. The correlation with ulcers is particularly strong: H. pylori infection causes more that 90% of duodenal ulcers and up to 80% of gastric ulcers.
