Guest guest
for magnesium please think of giving it through footbaths using a magnesium oil. According to Reid, who wrote The Tao of Detox, its the absolute best way to saturate the cells with magnesium and thus its a powerful detox and chelation aid. If you want more information please write me privately. Magnisium given orally is very difficult to absorb. Guest guest
I started my son with epsom salt baths because (at least this is how I remember it) I read that it was a better way to promote absorption of magnesium. For him they didn't seem to have an effect, or not one that I could really notice. Also, in the last 6 weeks a bath now lasts 2 minutes, tops, which makes them useless. I did, however, start supping with magnesium and he has slept through every night since. A miracle for him. He has had some good sleeping weeks since we started GFCF but they didn't seem to last. Now, I believe he is able to absorb the magnesium he takes orally and it seems to have a direct, positive effect on sleep (and on me). My point is: I had ruled out oral magnesium because of what I read. I only started it to begin chelation, and the unexpected impact has be wonderful. Don't rule things out. With our kids, there simply don't seem to be any rules that apply 100% Hope this helps. Anita > for magnesium please think of giving it through footbaths using a > magnesium oil. Guest guest
This is certainly not medical advice but just relaying my own experience . . .. so here goes. I had terrible restless legs each time I was pregnant. It was worse at night so I sympathize with your son. I first off all separated my iron and calcium intake (food and supplements) as they bind together. After trial and error of three pregnancies this is what worked for me. I took a liquid calcium magnesium supplement near bed time and well after any iron food. I took an iron supplement as I was very low iron usually early in the day. A good hot bath right before bed helped on the worst days. And I made my husband rub my legs too. Rubbing from top to bottom worked best. It felt like it was getting the wiggles out. Combining zinc and magnesium I actually heard is good because your body need magnesium to absorb the zinc. However since zinc and calcium both need magnesium I've always tried to keep those two separate. Good luck on figuring out what helps him . . . restless legs totally stinks! [ ] zinc and magnesium Hi all, My son has restless legs at night and I've heard that Magnesium may help that. I would like to add some additional magnesium at bedtime but he is currently getting zinc. Can I give them together or do they need to be seperated? I give zinc about 1 hour before bed so I could separate them by about 1 hour if needed. Thanks for any guidance! =======================================================
