vitamin E warning

I reacted to moisturising cream by Alba (at HFS) - couldnt get why it was

literaly burning

my skin (I had read twice the content on the box)

.... and online the long version of the ingredients posted that the vitamin E in

that cream

comes from wheat germ. DUH!

I switched to another no-paraben natural cream with citrus (at WholeFood too),

and I'm

fine now.

BUT I googled a little about vitamin E - and touched a nightmare.

Take Tropicana Orange Juice.

One is " plus calcium and vitamin E " the other one is " kids vitamins " (and God

knows how

many dozen of " new marketing " OJ they will create)... and guess what? one is

gluten free,

and the other not!

it might be completely wrong... but from my understanding, if it's written

" vitamin E

acetate " we are OK - it doesnt come from wheat but from oils (such as corn or

soy -

WARNING!!! if elsewise allergic to those).

If it doesnt specificaly uses the word acetate (example: a simple " vitamin E " in

the

ingredients) I skip. Unfortunatly, I seldom drink OJ, so I cannot tell you that

I actually

reacted, and now that I know there is a risk, a trial would require a blind

double test for

me to be honest... (and I dont have the time nor the will to eat gluten to do

so)

Where will they ever stop poisoning us?

Sophie (please share any better info if you have.)
