Here is the link to send them a letter because

of incomplete or erroneous information: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form6.html?1

I sent them the following letter:

In this article you stated, " But

thanks to the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA), any

food produced after January 2006 containing one of the eight most frequent food

allergens (in the linked PDF chart) will now use the common name for the

allergen in the ingredient list. In other words, a product containing gluten,

known to most of us as wheat, will now say " wheat " on its

label. "

Please know that gluten is in more than

just wheat. It can be found in Rye,

Barley, Spelt, Kamut, Oats - and that is by no means an extensive list.

Please add that information.

I suffered for many months because of

incomplete information about my gluten allergy. At first I thought I only

needed to avoid wheat, but I still kept getting hideously ill.

I would hate to think that any of your

readers who may be allergic to gluten, who look to you for the complete,

up-to-date information they have come to expect from you might continue to put

themselves in harms way due to your omission - or, worse yet, that someone

without food allergies who may be looking to you for information on how to make

their foods allergen free, might, after reading this article, substitute Rye

for wheat in a recipe and call it " gluten-free " .

Please remedy your omission immediatly, before

anyone becomes ill as a result.

A few good resources are: www.celaic.com

and www.celiacsprue.org.

Thank you for your immediate attention to

this matter.

Sincerely,

Lillyth

Keogh

I already wrote and told them that gluten is in more

than just wheat,

but I doubt they will change anything.

here's the link, though:
