Guest guest
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to Mr. Cutler. To me, you truly are an angel from above. I finally have my life back after 17 years of chronic debilitating cluster headaches(suicide headaches). I owe my recovery, both mentally and physically to the info provided by your book: Amalgam Illness. I have accomplished more healing in the 6 months that I've had the book than in the previous 17 years. I exhausted all avenues available through conventional medicine treatments and spent most of my life (and life savings) seeking help from neurologists, chasing false leads, and eventually losing all I had and could not even afford to see doctors anymore. My condition only worsened(clusters was only one of my serious symptoms), until I found your book. I had just enough science(physics/chem) in school to use the book for self diagnosis, and put together somewhat of a witchdoctor protocol. It worked(even though before I got the book I made several mistakes which worsened my condition significantly). I never thought I would see the day that I could live a pain free life. The freedom from my worsening psychological symptoms has given me something I've not had for 38 years: mercury free lucidity. I now have my mind back. God bless you. Thank you for my life back. Thank you for your courage. You have my deepest respect and greatest admiration. I know in my heart that all the parents here are on the right track, I applaud your efforts and bravery and sincerely wish your children the safest and fastest recovery. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to say thanks personally, it means the world to me. M. Wickersty Naperville, IL

Guest guest
What chelation agents did you use and how many rounds or how long did you do Andy Cutlers protocol? Guest guest
, Thanks so much for sharing the details of your progress. It is so helpful for all of us to hear success stories! Congratulations on your improved health! I am an adult chelating high levels of lead and mercury. I'm wondering how you decided on your dosage and frequency. Andy's protocol is frequent, low doses in rounds of 3 or more days on and at least as many days off. I imagine you chose a high dose to chelate aggressively because of your symptoms. Are you taking it all the time (i.e. no days off)? Did you do that from the start or did you try rounds? Have you ever stopped taking it? Did you try the frequent dosing - or did it make no difference for you? I am taking a low dose of DMSA (25 mg 6x daily). After a few rounds, I'm doing okay at that level - some fatigue, headaches. When I add ALA (even 20 mg) I get unmanageable symptoms, so I'm sticking with DMSA for now. -- > > > > > > What chelation agents did you use and how many rounds or how long > did you do > > Andy Cutlers protocol? > > I had my last fillings removed in January, and began a > chlorella/cilantro heavy metal cleanse which I stopped after two > weeks. Are you taking it all the time > (i.e. no days off)? After the bad chlorella/cilantro experience, I did not want to expedite my chelation if it would make me that sick again. Once I used the supplemental recomendations to reduce my acute spike in toxicity after my last filling removal, I began experimenting with ALA. I take 300mg every 6 hours, based on the principle that maintaining a steady level is prefered to allowing the levels to fluctuate. I understood the cutler protocol suggested 1.2 grams as evenly distributed as possible, and as tolerated. (p.89) I chose the 300mg dose based on what I could obtain at a store I could get to, and economics. I did not want to exceed the 1.2 gram/day level so I adjusted frequency. I seemed to tolerate it well, physically and mentally. I take it for 10 days, and then 4 days off and then repeat and have seen continual improvement. I am still on my first campaign. Sometimes I would be a day longer or shorter, but I tolerated it well, it did increase my hemmoroids, but nothing compared to my situation beforehand. I also have a very restricted diet (since I had a problem with candida and possible other parasites, and a compromised digestive system) which I based on tips from Cutler and further info from Feingold, absolutely no sugar, no sweeteners, no grains, no dairy, no processed foods, no phenolics, no salt, no spices, no sodas, no vegetable oils, as little thiols as possible, pretty much just carrots, celery, fresh chicken, plus certain fresh fruits and veges and lots of water. Psyllium and apple fiber(pectin) too. Don't underestimate the importance of proper nutrition, (getting the right nutrients in, and keeping unwanted stuff out) I also get a lot of exercise, I run at least 30 min. in morn, and ride bike 30 min. in afternoon and lift a few weights here and there. I was taking the basic nutrient supplements (p.133) and added some others based on my progress, and reduced all possible exposures to any harmfull substances.(for instance I stopped taking hot baths and showers to reduce my exposure to chlorine, flouride, copper, cadmium, and other suspected bad things. I stopped microwave cooking and grill cooking to reduce benzopyrenes and acrylimides from high heat. No more metal pots and pans. No more soldering or electronic projects to reduce lead, tin, cobalt, and copper. I stopped using teflon, plastic wrap, etc. I stopped drinking 'purified bottled water' for fear of chlorine, or leeched contaminants from the bottle or bottling process. No more flouride toothpaste, mouthwash, or deodorants or any products with artificial colors and flavors or known carcinogens in any amounts. No hand cremes, or lotions, long sleeves instead of sunscreen, No more second hand smoke, pesticides, air fresheners, solvents, fumes, etc. No more wristwatch or jewelry.) I wanted to reduce the load on my immune system, my liver and other organs involved in excreting these substances as much as possible so they could work more efficiently. I felt my liver metabolism was messed up, both phase 1 and phase 2, but I was never tested, it is based on my interpretation of symptoms and reactions to certain foods, chemicals and supplements. It may be going a little overboard on the restrictions, but I've adapted very well to such drastic lifestyle changes. Perhaps these are all factors in my tolerance of ALA. >Did you do that from the start or did you try > rounds? I started with one 300mg dose each of the first two days, two doses on the third and fourth, 3 on the fifth and sixth, etc. and was up to 4 a day in no time. This was pretty quick, but I seemed to do OK, so I stuck with it. I increased zinc, Vit C, and molybdenum, to try and limit copper absorption, and stopped eating any foods high in copper. >Have you ever stopped taking it? Not yet. I may consider taking a break soon, so as to evaluate where I'm at. And I'm open to any suggestions from anyone here, concerning this. (I am presuming I am still somewhat deranged, and welcome second opinions to keep me in touch with reality.) I just haven't had any noticeable conflicts yet with this approach. >Did you try the frequent > dosing - or did it make no difference for you? Didn't try anything else yet. I'll tack on a quick list of supplements I used and approximate maximum dosages I used, but I would vary these based on my response to them and what I was trying to accomplish, both physically and mentally. I have tapered them considerably from the amounts on my list as I get better and also as I run out of money. I will also tack on a list of my symptoms, which is cumulative over my 38 years of suspected toxicity. Again, most of these are my best educated guess, which only amounts to mere speculation and conjecture, but according to the scientific method you've got to start with a hypothesis and continue till you disprove it. Using this process of elimination and reducing all possible variables is how I convinced myself mercury was a significant culprit. My recovery is my own proof. I chased many false leads over the years, and even though I thought I had cured myself about a year ago after addressing candida and making lifestyle changes but I still had a lot of psychological clues that I hadn't. And I still had occasional cluster associated symptoms (histimine problems, facial swelling, one sided tearing/congestion, etc.) and occasional light episodes which began to get more frequent and more intense. So I kept looking deeper. > > I am taking a low dose of DMSA (25 mg 6x daily). After a few rounds, > I'm doing okay at that level - some fatigue, headaches. When I add > ALA (even 20 mg) I get unmanageable symptoms, so I'm sticking with > DMSA for now. > > -- I never had DMSA, I could not afford to see a doctor since 3 years ago. I felt I had reduced my fast body pools significantly in the year before I had my last fillings out through lifestyle changes(diet and exercise) and addressing my candida infestation, as evidenced by a slight reduction in my symptoms at that time. My clusters came back with a vengance when I had the dental work in january and did the cilantro/chlorella so I presume I redistributed what mercury was left into my trigeminal and hypothalamus and pituitary. This may partially account for my ability to tolerate ALA (i.e. my total mercury content may have been lower than ever, but it was just in the wrong place) There could be many reasons why we are so different, I didn't think lead was a big problem for me, but I don't really know. I am pretty sure aluminum was based on my timeline and a big exposure to vapor at the very begining of my clusters. Perhaps, and this is just wild speculation, you still have a lot of mercury in your fast pools and the ALA(or other thiol groups) is moving it to your brain. I construed from cutler that ALA dosage is most importantly limited by personal tolerance. (I welcome any advice or opinions on this, in case I'm on the wrong track.) If so, you ability to tolerate may increase with time. You symptoms will let you know. Be patient, and be safe, work the dietary restriction angle, be gentle on the immune system, and eliminate as many variables as possible, there are too many unknown variables to know why we all respond differently and tolerate it differently, but I read some great advice once in a big yellow book written by a very wise man: " Do no damage. " R.Wickersty This is my comprehensive and cumulative list of things I took, I tried to time them appropriately for my intended purpose and digestive needs. Cutler was my guide, but I researched further when anything was unclear to me. My vitamin A came from the carrots, but here's the rest: Vitamin C 12grams/day (combination of unbuffered pills and pure powder, equally distributed) Vitamin E 800 IU/day only natural non-esterized mixed topo (Unique E) Vitamin B6 1.5grams/day L-lysine 4grams/day L-arginine 2grams/day L-glutamine 2grams/day Zinc 100mg/day Selenium 200mg/day Molybdenum 1000mcg/day Calcium 600mg/day Milk Thistle Extract 800mg/day Co-Q10 400mg/day Chromium Picolinate 600mg/day Niacinimide(Vit.B3) 2grams/day Vitamin B100 Complex 2/day Taurine 1gram/day Inositol Hexaphosphate 2g/day Magnesium 750mg/day Potassium 90mg/day Vitamin B12 6000mcg/day Alpha Lipoic acid 1200mg/day Melatonin 9mg/day Capsibiol-T (green tea extract & capsiacin combo) 3/day Acidophilus (dds-1, bifidus, longum, etc.) 50b organisms/day (Pro dophilus 50) Magnesium Sulfate-Epsom Salt Lauric Acid(coconut oil) 2tbs./day Fish Oil 6grams/day Flax Oil 15grams/day Borage Oil 4grams/day Digestive Enzymes: (from 3 enzyme supplements: super enzymes, plant enzymes, no-fenol) Protease Amylase Lipase Cellulase Lactase bromelain papain betaine pepsin Zyphenase Xylanase CereCalase (hemicellulase, beta-glucanase, phytase) NAC L- Carnitine Ginger To fight my candida I would occasionally add the following: Bacillus Laterosporus b.o.d. strain 2/day Black Walnut Hull extract 1gram/day Black Walnut Hull Tincture (BlackWalnut, Wormwood, Clove) 2 droppers/day Pau D'Arco 600mg/day Oregano Oil 400mg/day Caprylic Acid 1g/day Olive Leaf Extract 2 droppers/day Grapefruit Seed Extract complex 1dropper/day Dioxychlor DC3 4-8 drops/day (1 week each month) Lamisil on the soles of my feet Candida die offs would always give me a migraine headache followed by burning diahrea, and hemoroid flare up. Here were my symptoms over 38 years, most of these I considered due to my cluster medications or aging or other factors, until I became lucid and experienced life without most of them, some are contradictory and obviously were not at the same time period, some did not appear until later years: Chronic Cluster Headaches Migraine headaches(shadow, or die offs) flashing auras/disorientation Persistant Acne on face and deep below skin from puberty till 37 yrs. Hemorroid flare ups inflammed/bleeding/protruding rectum constant nausea stomach cramps burning diahrea abnormal tooth decay/disintigration discolored greyish teeth sore back of tongue grinding teeth/clenched jaw during sleep swollen lymp glands/ducts joint pain/connective tissue sensitive teeth, gums/fillings metallic taste before episodes ringing in the ears cold sores in mouth excessive sweating/hot flashes low blood sugar/high blood sugar chapped lips/dry skin/oily skin dry sticky white stringy mouth no dreams never more than 3 hrs sleep before waking mood swings/depression/manic spells repetitive behavior quick temper/argumentative dyslexia or reversal of characters apparent lactose intolerance athlete's foot jock itch chronic fatigue/tiredness/muscle aches brain fog/confusion/loss of higher thought muscle tremors in hands/arms and legs numbness [pins and needles] in limbs constantly runny nose leaky gut type symptoms excess mucous after meals spastic bowel syndrome heart palpitations/racing heart (skipped every 8th beat regularly) high blood pressure/low blood pressure shortness of breath frequent urination/difficulty stopping urination/pain during urination insomnia/restlessness disabling back/disc pain clusters are triggered by methanol fumes and chlorine supersensitive to airborne chemicals like: polyesther fumes/acrylic fumes/mold/pollen cause instant clusters Can you see why I'm so thrilled. (knock on wood) I can't wait till a year from now. (knock on wood again!)
