I'd definitely attend (crazy schedule permitting)!

I would love to go, but for the next few

months or so money is really tight. (Yes, so tight I couldn’t pop for

even one dinner out). I would love to do a celiac get together, but if it’s

in the next few months, an actual pot luck would work better – or, if

this would be a regular thing, I’d love to go in a few months.

Just wanted to put in my two cents for a “yes”

vote…

Amy mentioned it in a previous post, but I'm afraid it

might get lost.

She was asking if anyone wanted to do a meeting at PF Changs.

I'm interested. If I knew in advanced, I could make the trek down! I'd

love to talk to others who are gf.

I would attend if it's in the Oakland/Emeryville/Berkeley area...

Probably wouldn't attend if it's somewhere else, unless it's in a

central SF location on a BART line, due to transit constraints (I don't

have a car)

Work & commuting takes 60 hr/wk for me. I live in SF

so SF is my preferred meeting place. East Bay would

be OK on weekends if near a BART stop (driving over

the Bay Bridge is a major pain). South Bay is pretty

difficult, though not impossible.

Here is a free, potluck Celiac group:

SF BAY AREA CELIAC NEWS.OCTOBER 2006

SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS

OAKLAND.....Saturday,

October 21 , 10:30am to 12:30pm

Kaiser Permanente Corporate Headquarters (not the hospital)

1950 lin Street

(near 19th street

BART).

Bring gluten-free lunch/brunch items with recipe to share.

We'll debrief on the Stanford conference and have a group

discussion on living gluten free. Major topic:

" How careful is careful enough " ???

Questions: Ellen Switkes, 510-655-0215, ellenrutile (DOT) yi.org

They tend toward replacing the foods in a

standard American diet with GF things, are diagnosed Celiacs for the most

part. Very nice people from all sorts of “worlds/walks of life”.
