Do you know how to get in touch with her? I wanted to ask a few questions like....Does she use soy products, eggs, etc. If so, does she give suggestions for substitutes. This class sounds interesting! I am the major non baker who wants to start putting on the bakiing apron.....especially after looking at my grocery bills siiince we have gone gluten free. Thanks! en399 <seamaiden399@...> wrote: Thought you guys might be interested to know that on Wed. I'm *very* interesting in a cooking class for gluten-free cooking, too! Especially a course that focuses on herbs and how they work (example: some become more spicey when heated), and how the gluten-free flours work; what we can expect using them. Kathleen is a dear friend and neighbor. She was cooking GF for her husband and daughter before my daughter was diagnosed, and that was back in 1992. I've left a message with her and will let the group know what she says about soy, eggs, and such. (I can't make the class because I'll be in NY for the Symposium.)DebbieOn Oct 20, 2006, at 2:28 PM, Hagen wrote:Do you know how to get in touch with her?  I wanted to ask a few questions like....Does she use soy products, eggs, etc. If so, does she give suggestions for substitutes. This class sounds interesting!  I am the major non baker who wants to start putting on the bakiing apron.....especially after looking at my grocery bills siiince we have gone gluten free. Thanks!       en399 <seamaiden399 > wrote:Thought you guys might be interested to know that on Wed. I just talked with Kathleen. She won't be using soy, but yes on dairy -- buttermilk and butter. I forgot to ask about eggs, but I would assume she'd use those as well. She'll be sharing recipes that have worked for her family for many years. Sign up early -- I went to the WFM baking class in San Mateo a few years ago, and it sold out.DebbieOn Oct 20, 2006, at 10:27 AM, seamaiden399 wrote:Thought you guys might be interested to know that on Wed.
