Guest guest
We went to London a couple years ago. We rented an apartment for one week, which I prefer over a hotel because it had a washer/dryer and kitchen. We shopped at their largest supermarket, Sainsbury (I think) which has a whole section labeled " gluten free " and stocks breads and crackers and desserts, but my favorite were the croissants. The food labeling laws for the EU require gluten to be on the label, so you can easily shop for canned soups and such. I ate breakfast in the apartment and packed food for lunch because there aren't many GF options for quick meals at the tourist areas. We did eat dinner out each night, and I was fine except the middle eastern restaurant made me sick. I think the apartment was probably much cheaper than a hotel considering the savings in not dining out each meal, and it was nice having a living room, kitchen and laundry room for that week. Plus, it was a treat to shop at the market so easily and with so many options. At 08:18 AM 3/1/2006, Hersom, A. wrote: >Has anyone recently traveled to Rome, Paris or London?
