They absolutely can. My sister has a lot of adrenal gland and pituitary

gland problems - and her physical appearance looks like she is on steroids with

the moon face, etc. These glands produce steroid-like substances and if they

are not functioning properly, it is exactly like being on prednisone or

cortisone.
