she finished teh antibiotics for the strep........i was told triaminic for teh

runny nose for her sinuses....we do vaapor rub every night for BOTH of them

(luckily my son has gotten NOTHING from his sis) and a humidifier -vaporizer i

don't think will do any good, ,because i live in TEXAS and have TEXAS weather.

last week she wore a heavy coat and boots and jeans, today she wore shorts and a

tank top......our house don't have central air and heat, just window units and

spacee heaters, can't stay comfy which is a lot of the problem, we are looking

for something else but right now cant afford to move because i just bought a new

car two weeks ago.....other than that i feel better talking to everyone..still

mad as hell at the school, but better! thanks

Everyone else is addressing your problems with the school, and they surely

know more about what route to go with that than I do, but no one has said

anything about Kyla's medical problems, so I thought maybe I could help

there???

About the pink eye.... 5 rounds of pink eye in little over a month would

indicate that it's not being totally cleared up each time she has it. I

would tend to believe that this is the same eye infection each time, just

coming back again. I would ask her Ped for an extended treatment plan, to

make sure it gone before you stop the meds again.

Secondly, there is no polite way to say this, but green snot usually

indicates a sinus infection. That won't clear up on it's own, and would

require an antibiotic. This green snot is probably extending the life of the

pink eye. Have you tried a vaporizer/humidifier at night?? Another thing

that helps my kids/g-kids is Vick's VapoRub. Seems to keep their little

noses from running during the night, so that they can't accidentally rub

their nose, and then their eyes.

I would assume that Kyla's taking an antibiotic for her strep throat, but

not all antibiotics work on all infections. Maybe the Dr could prescribe

something that would work on both the strep and the sinus infection???

Hope this helps end the cycle!!

HUGS for you both!
