Hello,

I saw my maxillofacial surgeon and his team today! I have another chest

infection so we won't be going ahead with surgery tomorrow as it would be too

risky considering I had problems last time. So I am on IV antibiotics to get rid

of the chest infection and a week next friday they will do some investigation

work while i'm under and see where we go from there. Though the plates will be

taken out weather if it will be next friday or the week after.

He says that I need to see my ortho to have some elastics put on. He asked how I

felt about having another surgery so soon. I told him I didn't think I could do

it and he said that he knew I could and that I have come such a long way all

ready. And I also told him that I am nervous about it and he thaught it was

amusing as I was so " cool " when I had the surgery. He must not have seen the

tears I shed with my mum! We had a good talk and I feel a lot better about the

surgery and what will happen next.

I will be using some nasal sprays and drops for the next week too. Once I am

ready we will talk about the options we have after the infection has cleared

etc. I will need further work on my nose and palate which i knew. But I also

voiced my concerns about the " dents " under my eyes and he agreed that a revision

will be needed to correct this as I have two black eyes! But once he has had a

good look and at last a pain free look for me as I will be knocked out LOL!!
