help for a pre-newbie

So my brother's neighbor is going to get WLS -- I don't know what kind.

He emailed me today, asked me for web resources to send her to, and

it's been so long since I've done any research on the web that I'm

hopelessly out of date.

The ideal web site, seems to me, would:

1. Emphasis the " tool " nature of this, and the need for hard work to

keep the weight off after the first gleeful 18 months have passed.

2. Describe the different surgical approaches, advantages and

disadvantages of each.

3. Be honest about risk without scaring the bejesus out of the patient,

who may well be in denial about the risks of NOT having the surgery.

Any thoughts?
