LeFort I

I am scheduled for my LeFort I surgery on October 20th. Being

terrified of all things dental, I find that even after 3.5 years of

braces the whole process gives me heart palpitations! I am trying to

gather as much info from those who have had a LeFort I so that I can

finally wrap my head around the whole thing. My story is

complicated,however the end result is that my upper pallet is too

small and the under bite (small though it is) and erroneous correction

of such have eroded my TMJ's. I have no doubt that I need this

surgery, but I find that I need info that only those who have gone

through it can provide. Most of the data I have found is from those

who had a LeFort I combined with some other procedure. Can anyone

share specifics of what they experienced (or anything at all that they

want to share)about a LeFort I only?
