I am now 6 wks post op lefort 1 & lower jaw .OS unbanded me after just 1 wk

and said the jaw is total tight and stable..he is very pleased..the OD had to

put 6 brackets back on due to becoming loose during surgery but not before I got

to see my beautiful teeth with out 6 metal brackets and wires..I almost cried

they looked so good. he (OD)has me wearing bands in triangle form on each side

to close small space between upper and lower teeth. the good thing is he said

they will be off in 1-2 more months..he was also pleased in the results epec

due to everything I have gone through with having to have 4 surgeries in the

end..I go back to the OS in 3 wks now instead of the usual every week, and I go

back to OD in 2 wks...I will have 1 plate removed in March as outpt in the

office and lip enlarged at that time also..move over Angelina here I come :)

not that big though...My right side lowe jaw near my ear hurts at time like an

earache, the surgeon saws its normal due to I am

moving the jaw more and the jaw is healing..heat pad makes it feel good along

with Vicodin :)

The best thing is I can eat now..I lost 16-18 lbs while being wired for 5

wks..It wasnt bad though, really...Good luck to the postopers and future pts of

these surgeries...

Happy T-Day to u all...gooble , gobble

Jill

Thanks

Jill - Congratulations on your great news! I bet you are so-o

relieved to be heading towards the homestretch after all that you

have been thru. I'm glad to hear you will finally be having a happy

ending to your Orthognathic Journey. Your persistance to get this

done correctly is inspiring to those of us that have yet to have our

surgeries. Take care and Happy T-Day to you too! ~~~ Diane (Idaho)---
