Another thin batch...can someone help?

> I use GI ProHealth yogurt starter. I use somewhere between 1/8-1/4 tsp for 2

quarts of cow's milk at a time.

> My last batch was a little thinner than usual. Does this mean that the starter

is losing effectiveness? It says it is good for a few more months still.

> What other signs should I look for to tell if it's going bad? I can't really

judge by my symptoms because they've been all over the place for the last few

months, i.e. some blood and mucus here and there.
