braces off today!

The long awaited day came. When they handed me a mirror today, I

cried and laughed. . . with happiness! I was suprised by how

emotional I felt- the tears flowed on and off for an hour! I was

absolutely amazed with how great my teeth look. I just can't get over

that they are really my teeth - they look soooo perfect. For the

first time in my life I don't feel cute, I feel beautiful! I am 36

years old and had surgery on 7/21 for upper/lower/genio. Physically,

I feel great having just run the NY Marathon a week and a half ago.

It took me 15 years to decide to do this and now after 17 months in

braces, I'm so glad I did it and have such great results. Although I

don't look like a different person, It's amazing to me that most

people notice only a subtle difference. I see the changes as

absolutely striking.
