Confused re panni instructions

I just got off the phone with the nurse at my PS surgeon's office.

She said that for 7 days prior to surgery I am to take no vitamins

or herbal supplements. I understand about the herbs and the vit E

(cause of risk of bleeding) but is this standard practice? I am

kinda shuddering at the thought of no calcium, iron etc prior to

surgery.

Debbie McNiece, I know you had the same surgeon as I am having, did

they have you do this too? Just very curious and a bit confused.
