Guest guest
There are a few things I'm having a hard time locating, so I'm going to break away from my routine and do some online ordering. Any suggestions on websites? Any I should stay away from? Thx, Carla
Guest guest
What specifically are you looking to buy, Carla? Guest guest
I'm looking for: 1) large bags of GF pretzels (I usually buy the small bags of EnerG, but go through about 3-4 a week) - I'm willing to try different brands, although I do love my sesame rings 2)a variety of breads (I usually buy EnerG or whatever else is on sale as WF) - willing to try different brands 3) larger containers of Barbara's Pancake Mix 4) GF crackers (to eat with cheeses) 5) varieties of GF pasta (I usually buy from TJs or Tinkyada) but want to try others - especially lasagna noodles and anything else people suggest. as I've said before, I'm a salt person - I rarely crave the chocolate or sweets...but give me pretzels or tortilla chips any day! oh, and: 6) breakfast bars, if there are any that are GF > > What specifically are you looking to buy, Carla? > >
Guest guest
Have you seen Amazon lately? They have tons of GF stuff that can be ordered in bulk amounts to save on what the grocery usually charges. They seem to be slow on some items. I recently placed and order and got my Envirokids KoalaCrisp cereal in a matter of days while other items in my order are scheduled for mid-August! Shipping will most likely be free since ordering bulk amounts invariably goes over $25 but it seems to put you at the bottom of the Amazon's shipping priority. http://www.amazon.com/s.html/104-5608426-0710358?ie=UTF8 & node=3580501 & index=gour\ met & field-keywords=gluten%20free & page=1 > > > > What specifically are you looking to buy, Carla? > > > > >
Guest guest
> 5) varieties of GF pasta (I usually buy from TJs or > Tinkyada) but > want to try others - especially lasagna noodles The Whole Foods by me (San Mateo) usually has Tinkyada Lasagna noodles. IMO, Tinkyada pastas are FAR and away the best tasting GF pasta. FWIW, the two gluten free pastas Trader Joes sells are clearly made by Tinkyada (just look at the typeset, etc around the nutrition info etc). EnerG lasagna noodles are ok, but I prefer the Tinkyada ones. > 6) breakfast bars, if there are any that are GF I just bought some of the Enjoy Life breakfast bars from glutenfreemall and they're decent. Glutino also makes some (which can be purchased at Draeger's Markets but I don't know if you're near one) which I think are a little better (and more like a Nutri-grain bar with a filling if that's what you're looking for) but it turns out my daughter really can't tolerate corn either so we only tried one flavor (apple). Not exactly what you're looking for in terms of online but just a couple of comments! I also had a good experience with glutenfreemall. Kinnikinnick only seems to ship on certain days of the week so sometimes I've had to wait awhile for stuff from them to get shipped (but it comes the next day once it does). The only other online I've done recently was Miss Robens and they were also great. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I haven't ordered from them although I've spent some time looking at what is available. Word is they constantly offer special deals such as $10 off any $50 order, but I'm not sure if that's with a code or ??? Thanks for the suggestion. It's nice to hear from someone who uses the website and isn't afraid to tell the good and bad. Guest guest
You can get the standard Amazon Free Super Saver Shipping for orders over $25. I have 4 items waiting to be delivered and shipping would have been about $50! Crazy! But...I have to wait so I guess if you want to order something it wouldn't be what you need in a hurry. > > > > > > > > What specifically are you looking to buy, Carla? > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
