Guest guest Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 No, I haven't done this, but it makes sense. Being on SCD any time makes sense. Just don't advance too fast. The medication may give you a sense that you tolerate anything. I would advise staying close to the suggested stages on pecanbread.com and going slowly. Guest guest Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 That was exactly my reason for starting the diet :-). I was on Humira for the first 9 months I was on SCD. I've now been off Humira for just over a year, and have been fine with just the diet (and Pentasa). While Humira did help me a lot, SCD has helped me even more (goodbye ugly fistulas!!!). Go for it :-). Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > I am considering stopping my Humira due to a recurring infection. I would like to start the diet now, to avoid a flare up once I stop Humira.
