plate patruding?

Now 8 weeks post-op. It seems that my left side of my lower jaw is

very smooth and I am really unable to feel the plate at all.

However, on my right side, I can really feel the plate. There is a

pretty big bump. I'm wondering if this is just more scar tissue or

something. My right lower chin is also pretty numb still. I notice

that i get a dull pain after smiling or talking for a while on my

right side as well. Could the plate and screw come loose at all?

I was swollen and still am on one side more than the other. I looked

lopsided for a while. My doctor told me that it's typical that one side

heals better than the other, something about how we're all asymmetrical

or something. Anyway, i would talk about it to your doctor and see what

he says.
