During my 1st year post-op, I used to make alot of stews in the crockpot and

then freeze individual servings (carefully measured out in 3/4 cup portions)in

ziploc freezer bags. I made alot of chili, beef stew and split pea soups. I

always had several on hand, and it made packing a sensible lunch very easy. I

must admit that as my pouch capacity increased, and my " discipline " decreased, I

have not followed this practice as much, but as the colder weather is here, I

might just go back to this. It was a money and a time saver, and it kept me on
