There is no good way to say this except often doctors really have no clue how aweful or scary it is to be in our positon. I have been a neonatal intensive care nurse (caring for babies born premature or very sick requiring intensive care at birth) for 10 years now and it wasn't until I went in preterm labor at 26 weeks (14weeks prematurely) with my 3yo and was then put on bedrest, given magnesium sulfate (the worlds worst drug) and was terrified that my baby was going to be born so early that I finally understood what my patients parents were going through. I think experiencing it first hand makes me a much better and more understanding nurse. So I can see why having access to this kind of information would in certain ways be so helpful to a physican, God knows we all have had a terrible experience with some arrogant physician that had no idea what we were feeling. It's quite common therefore that items may be answered more than once or various simultaneous threads develop. For those getting digests it may be a considerable time before they get the second or third in a set of posts. All anyone did was ask and answer. There wasn't an attack and there wasn't an apology required. The only one yelling was you in this post. There is no call for the yelling or " Cant you read " . I'm sorry if you thought we were attacking you but I saw nothing offensive about Adrienne's post or Joyce's. As to mine, I was answering Adrienne's which I also don't see as inappropriate.
