Now that I am looking at the supplements section 1/2 of what i just ordered per

DAN doc is not legal. He " prescribed " :

Ultra bifidus from metagenics- of which i now know Gavin can't have,

Calcium powder - not legal,

Vitiam B6,

Culturelle lactobicillius GG - not legal

ActiFolate From metagenics - need to look further to see if it's legal,

and the Spectrum complete vitamin capsules - these aren't on the legal or

illegal list only the powder forms are- does anyone know anything about them?

(ingred. listed as : Magnesium, ascobate, potassium ascorbate, Silicone dixiode

and plant cellulose)

any help appreciated!!!

I'm going to print off this legal and illegal list for the DAN doc before she

screws up any other parent who may not have access to you guys. :>)

What about Culturelle Lactobacillus GG by Kirkman's is that legal? My DAN

suggested it to treat the clostridia infection in my son. She said some Dr. Snow

( i don't know if he is some big doc in the DAN community or what) had done some

extensive research and found that the Cultruelle Lactobacillus GG was one of the

most effective for clearing up the Clostridia. I just ordered some from

Kirkmans---should we order this s. boulardii stuff instead. I guess i need to

run all my " prescribed supplements " by this group because these DAN's aren't

real sure of what they are doing. You guys know more. I'll post my list later,

just wanted to ask this for now. by the way we were on just the acidopholis but

were told only the GG would clear his clostridia up.

Becky,

I'd call the places that you order from right away, and ask them to cancel your

order. If you just ordered today, it shouldn't be a problem. Just explain that

you're on SCD, and these supps were RXed by your dr....but you just discovered

that they're not SCD legal. Most of these places are very understanding and

helpful since their nitch market is to help these kids.

Those Spectrum Complete capsules are fine.

I looked at the ActiFolate.... and it seems fine. It doesn't list any

" additional ingredients " on their website or the product label anywhere.
