Hi everyone,

It's Kathleen from Texas. I am back... I had convinced myself that I

didn't have RP, stopped my pred, refused to take MTX, and quit seeing

my doctor. Needless to say, I have an apptment on Wednesday as I am

feeling terrible. My chest hurts, my ears hurt, my throat hurts,...

Blah Blah Blah. I am so tired of feeling bad and I guess I thought I

could make it go away by wishing it so... I probably went into

remission and then blew it by dropping everything that would have

kept me there. STUPID!!!! I was reading in bed last night, bumped my

glasses against my nose and it hurt so bad I cried... So much for

denial! Anyway, I am hoping that everyone is well and nothing

terrible happened while I was away. I am seriously considering a trip

to the Mayo, mainly to convince myself that I really do have RP. I

guess I still am doubting (wishing...).

Anyway, I do have a question. Do any of you have trouble with hair

loss? I know that MTX causes hair loss, but I haven't taken that. My

hairdresser said that my hair is very thin and not all well. I

stopped taking the pred in June, after tapering -- not cold turkey.

Could that be affecting me in Sept./Oct.? It's like the hair shaft

itself has thinned. I also am having scalp pain and the little sores

seem to be coming back. Any comments, advice?

Kathleen
