Heyla, folks...

I'm currently taking a class in self-editing for the novels I've been

working on. It's a tough class -- only eight students at a time!

One of my fellow students posted a question which relates to her Work In

Progress. I said I would ask you folks.

Please, please PLEASE answer OFF LIST and put " ID WIP " in the the subject.

This is NOT a topic for this list, nor am I interested in debating the

subject -- I'm just gathering information for a fellow writer.

She said, " Question on high schools and evolution: I know some schools

advocate the teaching of Creationism or Intelligent Design. Can you tell

me how your local schools handle this issue and whether some students are

excused from the discussion due to religious beliefs? I know that the

teaching of ID is becoming more of an issue. But what I'm more uncertain

of is whether some students are still permitted to be excused from the

Creationism side. "
