yeast & frustration

my 2 year old and i have been doing SCD for nearly 3 months with

visible progress but lately i feel like SCD may not be the complete

answer. i believe our main culprit is yeast. we are eating stage 1 &

2 foods, meaning all peeled deseeded cooked fruits & veggies, nut

butter, meat, and lots of eggs. we still cannot tolerate honey or any

dish that is not totally basic. for example, we tried spaghetti sauce

over spaghetti squash and we both reacted. all that was in it was

tomato juice, meat, onions, garlic, (onions and garlic individually

seem to be fine) oregano. it seems basic to me and i really thought

we would do fine with it. i am having a hard time finding anything

that we can tolerate that resembles a real meal, instead of little

individual components.

in the past couple of weeks i have cut back even more on the amount

of applesauce or pearsauce or bananas. we now eat about 1/4 C each a

day. that is our only sweet thing in our diet. that still has not

seemed to make enough difference to completely clear her eczema and

stop the reactivity. also cut out all dairy: butter, cheese, except

for goat yogurt. she is not ready for nut flour.

please somebody tell me that someday soon we will be off of this very

restricted way of eating. we are eating the same things...i probably

have 2-3 days worth of different foods and then we start over again

with the same foods.

do i just need to wait longer or is SCD not the right diet if yeast

is your main problem?
